I'm a freelance website designer in a long term relationship with a great guy. I have one furry child (a Pekingese "puppy").
I did my first half-marathon (walking) in 4 1/2 hrs in May 2012.
I'm doing it again this May with a goal to complete it in under 3 hours. Training has officially started!
Why I want to get in shape
I've been overweight for most of my life, and honestly, I'm usually OK with it. It's never stopped me from doing what I wanted to do. Until I decided I wanted to be a runner. Running when you're 75+ lbs overweight is *hard*! So, I'm changing it.
Three weeks after the Flying Pig Half Marathon (May 2013), I'm marrying my best friend! ♥ ♥ ♥
- I want to have healthy babies in my late 30's.
- I want to raise those babies myself.
- Enjoying retirement would be impossible if I'm hunched over.
