"Time to build some confidence"

About Me:

I am a mom of 2. I started running with couch to 5k at Easter 2011. I ran a half marathon in April 2012. As I am a slow runner I think I will stick at half marathons and below. I have found a love for triathlon and am currently training in the gym which I am loving as well as running, cycling and swimming. All this make a very hungry Jane. I have been lacking in a healthy diet for a while and need a kick up the backside to sort that out too.

I needs lots of encouragement to stay away from the sweet stuff.

Why I want to get in shape

I want to get faster with my running. Taking small goals. The first to get to under 34 mins for a 5k by the end of the year.
UPDATE: I made my goal in 2012 and set myself a new one for 2013. I wanted to get below 33 mins - I smashed that too my current PB is 32:45 so I know need to get below 32:30
UPDATE: Is now to get under 30 mins for a 5k - I hope to achieve this sometime in 2016.
UPDATE: 2018 - I still haven't made the elusive 30 min target for 5k but I have completed 2 triathlons one of which was an open water swim and I had a huge fear of the water but having learnt to swim without panicking in the pool the transition was made a lot easier. I am now training for my next triathlon.
