My fitbit isn't syncing. Not this am-about 6am. I've even put my steps myself and no more calories are taking out??? I still have the One with the Flex due tomorrow. Is this a MFP or Fitbit problem? Anyone else? Thanks.

Hi,

I see your Fitbit is syncing correctly. You have both a Fitbit Adjustment and Steps that were logged from data sent to us by Fitbit.com.

Please let me know if you do not see this on your end.

Do you have to do something to have a Fitbit sync? I just got one and I don't know how to make it sync. Thx! Melaniesmile

It took a all day and I had to put my steps in and sync and close and then open and sync then it would work. So... Does that mean its fixed? Thanks!

HI,

As long as you have correctly linked your Fitbit with MyFitnessPal the syncing should occur almost immediately. There are rare cases when the sync is delayed up to 5 minutes.

Your Fitbit must first update Fitbit.com and then we will pull that information over. We recommend that you do NOT manually enter your Fitbit steps as this can prevent the device from syncing the correct information to MyFitnessPal.

There are four data points that you can compare between your Fitbit and MyFitnessPal accounts to determine if your accounts are syncing properly.
These four items are Fitbit Steps, Fitbit Sleep Minutes, Weight and the FitBit Adjustment (for calories burned).

You can see your Weight, Fitbit Steps and Fitbit Sleep Minutes on our website or in our mobile apps

On the Web

Log in to www.myfitnesspal.com. Mobile app users should log in using the same username and password they use in the app.

Once you've logged in, click "My Home" tab, then "Check-In". This is where we sync your Weight, Fitbit Steps and Fitbit Sleep Minutes.

In Our Apps

On the "Progress" page of the app, click the "Weight" label to reveal additional measurements, including Fitbit Steps and Fitbit Sleep Minutes.

(Note that if you do not attach your Fitbit to the wrist band and set it to stopwatch mode when you sleep, you should not expect to see any Fitbit Sleep Minutes data.)

To verify that the Fitbit calorie adjustment is working correctly, please see this explanation of the Fitbit Calorie Adjustment: http://j.mp/ZHtTYk

Hope this helps.

Scott

Now on now iphone and iPad... "No updates" and all my friends are lost. I did put my steps today again but I don't to it again per you. It's not sleep and its ok on the web, so it is a problem with iPhone/iPad?

My walk from Endomondo today didn't sync and it's been hours.

I have the Fitbit Flex. The first day or two, it showed up in MFP showing my calorie adjustment. Then it stopped. I was going to reinstall MFP on my iPhone but it says it will delete all of my data and I'm afraid of it losing ALL of the data even on the website. Regardless, what should my next step be? I have been syncing my Flex with the Fitbit app (as opposed to the USB dongle), but that shouldn't make a difference, right?

(Edit) Actually, I just checked and it does show an adjustment for today and yesterday, but no adjustment a few days ago, even when I had entered my food.

Hi,

I do see that you have Fitbit Adjustments going back quite a few days. Some of them read as "0" and this is because your total calories burned on your Fitbit device did not surpass the MyFitnessPal estimation. If you enable "Negative Calorie Adjustments" you will get and Adjustment on those zero days, but it will actually remove calories from your Net Calories.

Some users prefer to leave this off, but it will give you a more accurate caloric goal.

Hope this helps.

EDIT: You can turn on or off Negative Calories here - http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/diary_settings

Today my flex, which I switched to on Friday, is now only showing negative adjustment when I've gone over 6000 steps so far. The steps are showing correctly, if I ask app to sync twice. I've unlinked and rejoined accounts and no difference. Can you tell me if this is an ongoing problem or just me? And once again, the timer is not on. With the flex, if it registers a significant movement in couple minutes-walking, etc- it will automatically turn off even if set. Would much appreciate if it didn't take ALL day or multiple attempts to get things to sync. Thanks for your help.

There are discrepancies between my calorie intake on MFP and the sync to Fitbit. Dashboard is showing nearly double the calories I had on Monday, zero for Tuesday, and a 150 more on Wednesday. Today seems to be correct. Is there any way to resync that info? Why would it be wrong?

There is not a way to retroactively sync that data to Fitbit. Fitbit servers were having some trouble Tuesday and this could be related. I would contact them to have them remove the errors on your Fitbit dash.

Sorry for the problems wish I could be of more help.

They had my reboot my flex and then revoke access (again). Well now there's the issue with the food logging-- suddenly I'm having all my food in one meal or no food shows but calories are correct. ??? Know you guys are working together but do you have a fix date? Thanks for your help!!

Hi,

Please let me know if this problem continues to persist after a day or two. We have checked everything on our end, and it all appears correct. The data is consistent with multiple meal summaries being sent for each category.

I look forward to hearing from you.

It's working--- sometimes right away, sometimes I have manually sync. I don't know what's left to do? I've reset Flex, revoked accounts, rest account... And still. Oh well unless there's a fix guess I suck it up and hope it syncs. Thanks.

My fitbit flex and myfitnesspal were playing nicely the first few days I had it, but now for the second day food entered into MFP is not syncing over to dashboard. Yesterday when it happened I revoked access, linked accounts again and that seemed to work--but today, even that does not seem to link the accounts again. In both places it appears the accounts are linked--and yet, there are syncing issues. My husband's flex (different band, different computer) has never had this issue. Am I doing something wrong?

I have the fitbit one. I have it set to sync with mfp and I notice my weight updates. But my friend at the top of her Fitbit app shows a deficit and a baseline burn rate. I do not show this. Did I not set up something correctly?

Hi,

I am not quite sure what you are asking. Is this with the MyFitnessPal app or the FItbit app? If you have a question in regards to the Fitbit app specifically the team at Fitbit is going to be your best resource.

Otherwise if you could explain it a little more to me it would be appreciated.
