We are thrilled to announce that we’ve partnered with Zumba Fitness. We’ve listened to your requests, and in response, you can now track the calories you’ve burned in your latest Zumba class through MyFitnessPal. Simply log into MyFitnessPal, visit your diary, add “Zumba” to your exercise list, and voila! Your Zumba calories will be added to your Daily Summary, increasing your Net Calories for the day.

Please note: Zumba may not be available for all users until the end of today.

Have fun, and dance your hearts out!

I have been doing Zumba for 2 and 1/2 years now and absolutely love it! It is very liberating and works out your entire body. I am much more toned than I have ever been. I purchase months of classes ahead of time so that it is cheaper, only $6 a class for me in Lake Forest, CA, and then I feel I need to go. I go between 2-4 times a week and burn about 450-600 calories a class depending on how I move my body. Thanks for adding this as an exercise that I can just check and add now.

I didn't realize Zumba burned so many calories. I guessed at 250 and the Zumba fitness says I burned almost twice as many. I know I sweat and hurt at the end of a session, but how accurate is it. This can explain why I am so hungry at the end of a session because I only eat enough calories to get me through and if I am burning that many maybe I need a little more protein?

Hello! Would there be any way to add classes given by LesMills/Goodlife since a large number of users participate in them? Would be great to help us track our exercise goals.

Thankyou so much! I love my zumba classes! I have lost 20 pounds and honestly believe it's a combination of MyFitnessPal and Zumba!

One question: As my weight goes down, the amount of calories I burn goes down. I understand that...
But with Zumba, I am also getting more proficient at it. I am moving better and faster and am getting more coordinated. For example, I used to just move my feet to a dance. I couldn't even watch the teacher because her movements were too confusing, I'd watch other people in the class. Now, I bounce and move my feet MORE as well as getting my arms, belly and butt into it. Surely I am burning if not more calories now than before, at least the same amount?
