Maybe this has been touched on before, but I didn't see it in the first four pages and the search function doesn't help much.

The ability to make new paragraphs in status updates and comments on other people's status updates would be much appreciated. I hate huge blocks of text when I have a longer update.

I can write separate paragraphs on my phone, and I can read separate paragraphs on my phone when other people post that way, but when I get on the computer, it's a wall of text. I agree that this should be changed.

Support this idea myself

No kidding. I can see when people use them with the app, but the internet site sucks for making heads or tales when someone wants to separate 2 or 3 quick ideas.

But, then people would probably post multiple status updates. Instead of just one, that is neatly written, and to the point, but with some breaks to improve readability & thought processes.

Good in principle. But going by how people post on the forum, I'd guess a small percentage of folks would post nicely formatted long updates, and the majority would just post longer blocks of text.

ETA: Though my entire friends list may be drunk and/or illiterate. So our experiences might differ.

Perhaps, but as it is now, you are going to get a wall of text no matter what. I had one the other day which took up 3/4 of my wall.

What would really be nice is if they could have long updates be expandable once they hit a certain character limit. I'm not hopeful on that, because they still haven't fixed issues with expanding multiple comments to a status update.

I agree with adding paragraphs. I don't mind long status updates as long as they're interesting and not too 'Dear Diary', unless they're posted by the same person every 20 minutes all day long. The blog aspect of MFP kind of sucks, and you can't read blog posts on the phone app.

TWITTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh i know some times some people type a lote, but SPACE inbetween sentances makes **** easier to read.

It's weird that there's no way to separate two lines or even just go down to the next time.
Even Twitter does that.
