Usually if the app won't keep you logged in it's because you have changed either username or password or... both.
The app seems to get hung using the original now incorrect user/pass combo. The fix is to log in, ensure you've synced all changes and then (UNLESS using iOS under 5.0 I think that can't use the latest version of the app) uninstall and reinstall the app.
This will "force" it to use the new correct user/ pass combo.

Serving size has 2 fields with it... how many servings of what serving size. If the serving size presented is 1 cup and you only had 1/2 cup you log 0.5 servings of 1 cup....
if you had 1/3 of the presented serving size you log 0.333
if you had 1/4 of the presented serving size you log 0.25 etc

use the decimal equivalent for the "fraction" you had.

The search algorithm is the close to the worst I've ever seen. Most results are completely inappropriate to the search. Well, it's definitely the worst I've seen recently, and since my Co. updated their ecommerce site. :)

Google has us spoiled with excellent results. MFP is 90% garbage out.

My wife and I both use the app and would like to be able for just one of us to add up the meals we ate together (same exact meal) and easily transfer the meal to the other, without both of us having to ask, "so which items did you choose in the database?"

The Windows Phone app REALLY needs an update to bring it on par with the iPhone app. While it can track food, it can't track comments and reply (which would be wonderful).

you can.
if you're using the ipad, iPhone, Android apps OR the website (leaving blackberry and windows phone app users without it on their platform) but you're on the website because you're posting to the forum

one of you log the meal to your food diary that is 'shared" with the other IE shared with friends and be friends within MFP.
Now on the other account go view that food diary...
website - click quick tools > copy to today
apps (iPad, iPhone, Android) > click wrench / spanner in the header with the meal name > copy to today.

There are so many user-entered foods, that it would be nice to have a radio button on the food search where you could choose to include or not include the user entered ones. I sometimes find them useful, but there are so many now. I'm sure MFP has something in there for a banana for example, but I have to sift through all the variations that users have set up. It's a little aggravating! Thanks for listening.

Ability to track mileage.
Better tracking of weight training exercises and calories burned.
Ability to create workout plans with scheduling
Ability to track times that foods were consumed

I love this app. One suggestion, though. I like how you can copy meals from the previous day to the current date. However, you cannot transfer them to a different meal. For instance, if you have a meal for "dinner" one night, you can transfer that meal to the next day only under "dinner". It would be nice to be able to transfer that "dinner" meal from the night before to, say, "lunch" of the current day. This would be really convenient when eating left-overs the next day at work.

A few ideas:
-It would be nice if there could be an estimate of calories burned for strength training exercises. Right now, things like leg press, leg extensions, etc, show no calories burned under "Strength". You have to log it under cardio to see any sort of calories and they're still pretty off. I know that I can modify calories burned, but it seems like alot of work. If the app already knows your height and weight, it shouldn't be too hard to calculate approx. cals burned for weight lifting by adding how much you lifted and number of sets.

-If this is NOT possible, then at least maybe a tab could be added so that you can track your sets/reps/weight on a daily basis as well.
-Lastly, it would be nice to be able to put a short note at the top of your Daily Diary each day. Like a header of sorts. For example: "LEG DAY!" or "10 Days to half-marathon", etc. It would help with remembering what you did, as well as with planning ahead.

Basically, I agree with all of @sigby's suggestions above. Lol.

I second that! I'd love to just be able to add "steps for the day" from my pedometer (I know the Weight Watcher site allows their folks to do that, so it should be an easy add). Thanks!

I would like to see the alarm also work as a 'Get Off Your But' if you have been inactive for a period of time, unless it is in sleep mode.

I have discovered Noom and dont like it as much as MFP but the thing I love LOVE love about it is the color coding of foods... It really seems to help me to know i need more or less of something.
Please look into it

I would love to be able to tag friends in posts! Whether I've done some activity with them or just want to get their attention and get them back on the app (especially if they haven't used it in a while), it would be great to be able to type @theirname and tag them in my post! I'd think you guys would really like that idea since it would get people on your app more frequently if they aren't using it often. It would be nice to have this same feature on the website. Just a bit of a suggestion! I love your website and app. It has been incredibly useful to me and some of my friends and family. Thank you!

I use the food or exercise notes section to record non-scale victories, which is useful enough but you have to page through one day at a time to see old entries. It would be great if the reports page could include a calendar where you could briefly add these sort of notes--personally I find them a better reinforcement than scale numbers.

I'm not sure if this has been suggested already but I would like to get a notification if I comment on a friends post and they comment back...something like Facebook. Not trying to compare but I just think it's a nice feature...

I believe you can. If you go into settings, and then Food Diary settings it will give you the option to share with friends, public or with a passcode...

I am not sure if this was suggested or addressed yet, or if it is currently an option or not but I can not seem to find it. I think it would be great to be able to manually type in a barcode number instead of just scanning it. I have a crap camera on my phone and thus causes the bar codes to not always be scanned completely or correctly. This might also be useful on the website to ensure I am getting the exact item instead of searching by name and then having lots of similar results, yet each result has differences in various ways.

I really really wish I could access the forums and groups on my app. I would use them so much more. Also If you got notifications that someone has replied to my forum posts. Pretty please!!! I would use so much more of the website!!!

I'd love for daily macros to be on the same page (at the bottom) as the current day's diary. That is the main issue I'm having. I'm mainly paying attention to Calories, Carbs, Fats, and Protein. I hate having to go to the Home -> Daily to see them and once I get there have to search through the list of other things I'm not as focused on.

I'd like to see meal recommendations based on what I've already consumed for the day/week.

Examples:
if my recorded intake indicates I'm low on iron, recommend spinach (etc)
if my recorded intake indicates I'm low on Vitamin D, recommend Mushrooms, Salmon, etc.

Essentially, move nutrition monitoring from reactive to proactive. As it is we need to either study more about nutrition than most care to know or learn by trial and error. Both are impediments to establishing a healthy routine.
