Once I've completed my entry for the day, I would like it to say "if everyday were like today, then you would weigh X lbs in..." instead of 5 weeks, be able to change it to a goal weight. The constant changing 5 week goal is hard to know how my progress is going.

A drink category to enter drinks would be nice. Also, exercises that we can do at home like squats, aerobic exercises, 3 reps of 10 etc.

It would be really great to look at a net saturated fat report. When I go to a date in my diary I can see that I ate more food bc of exercise, but the report only shows the baseline goal vs the total consumed.

Thank you for an awesome website.

Hey all!

New to this suggestion forum so if this has been asked already please forgive me!

It would be great if you could quickly convert a "Meal" to a "Recipe" as it's often easiest in terms of tracking food quantities to upload all ingredients into a "Lunch" and then select "Meal". Currently, I usually scan or add every ingredient into "Lunch" for example, and then have to go back in and manually add every ingredient into a "Recipe".

Also, would be great if we had the option to adjust the quantities of ingredients while editing a recipe without having to search for the ingredient again and enter the correct quantity. We have this functionality from the Diary interface where it lets you select an ingredient and adjust the amount.

Thanks for the awesome website, it's changed my life!

I would happily give up the "recent", "frequent" and "my foods" lists if I could just have a single, editable list for my favorite foods. I would like to be able to add foods to the list as an option when adding a food to my diary. I'd also like to be able to go into my favorites list and clean it up to keep it current. I realize that I can basically do this by manually adding everything to "my foods", but that takes a lot of time and creates duplicates of entries that are already in the database.

Ditto on wishing I could copy last night's dinner to today's lunch, or move foods between meals.

Thanks for considering my feedback!

It would be nice if web site gave the same info as the mobile app when searching for a food.

On the search results screen the app gives
Baked Spaghetti Pie
Baked Spaghetti Pie, 1 cup cooked, 461 calories

while the web site you get
Baked Spaghetti Pie - Baked Spaghetti Pie

it is easier to pick a good match with more info.

Hi, I'm new to the site and love the tools (thank you!) however, what would really be useful to me are three things that I don't see the ability to track:

1) A column for tracking fiber

2) Net Carbs (total carb grams minus fiber grams)

3) Daily % of calories from carbs, fats, proteins (this doesn't have to be exact so it can be an easy computation of (carb*4)/total calories, similarly protein*4, fat*9, and also a column for net carbs here would be great too)

Thanks for reading my suggestions!

I like the pie chart on the app, and would like it on the main website too, it gives you a quick glance at protein fat and carb levels and it helps to make decisions on what to eat for the next meal to keep on track. i also think the amounts need looking at, some are in cups, some are just not what you are looking for, so you cannot be accurate in what you are logging. otherwise its a great app/ site:)

I wish we could tag people in comments so we can reply to them without having to go find it.

would be nice if under reports you could see how you are averaging with macros, fat, carbs, etc on a line graph. To see how consistent you are.

Would be nice if working with strength training posted on the feed, had a caloric impact.

I would like to see a chart that compares daily weight against food intake.

I'd love to see the recipe nutrition calculator connected to recipe apps, like Cookbook. That would provide the double bonus of being able to directly reference recipes you already have in your device, and being able to check on/revise recipes after they've been entered.

So I scan the package "Hormel - Thick Cut Bacon (Black Label), 1 slices (cooked) 24g" and it adds it....fine. I go back and have one more later for a snack...and it's not listed in recent I copy and paste into search....and get 'no results' what's with that? So i have to go downstairs and scan the package yet a second time. Not good. No QA on this product apparently? It really was a recent this mornings breakfast....which I'd consider a recent food...somewhat......
October 5, 2013 8:31 AM carbs - put down another three votes. We have three people here trying a low carb diet. We have to jimmy around the numbers to make it obvious what's happening. I set the columns to show the fiber right after the carbs - so I can subtract it. There is no way I can see to do the sugar alcohols however - as my sister points out - the government considers them to be counted as carbs even though the body doesn't. They need to be subtracted as well as the fiber from the total carb count. This would really help out the low carb or Atkins people. And then there's natural sugars in some foods...and then there's real straight sugars - which we're trying to avoid totally - and it looks like we're having added sugar, when we're actually not. There seems to be no denotation as to which type of sugar is present.
Oh...and by the's still the best app so far....until someone either fixes the Atkins app(which is so poorly designed as to be not useful at all)....or does what we're trying to accomplish with this thang....

PLEASE bring back the link to post my exercise to Facebook!! I got several of my Facebook friends on MFP that way!! And no I don't want the whole world to be able to see whether or not I had a glass of wine last night. So my (Food) diary needs to stay friends only.

I would like to request the ability to add one or two more columns to the view in nutrients tracked under calories (MyHome/Goals/Custom) - and also the ability to add a column for sugar alcohols(not presently in the drop down selections) - which in an Atkins type diet get subtracted (along with the fiber) from the carbs. If I can have Carbs/Fiber/SugarAlcohols/Protein/Fat/Sugar all showing - I'd be a Happy Camper - as my calculations for true carbs in Atkins would be a piece of cake - as then I would just have to subtract the fiber + Sugar Alcohols from the Carbs to get my Atkins net carbs. The only thing skewing it a bit would be the 'natural' sugars that show up. Thanx
I can send screen shots if needed...I don't believe I can attach any here. Thanks again. I hope the request is clear.

I'm not sure how this affects the phone app....I do most of this on the computer as it's much faster - except for scanning of labels.

Again - nice app!

@ MorgaineLF -
Fiber column can be added under Food/Settings/Nutrients Tracked
You have to give something else up. Mine is set to show Carbs/Fiber/Protein/Fat/Sugar
This makes it easy to subtract the fiber from the carbs for a closer net total in low carb.
The only thing not available is the sugar alcohols (which can be significant) and I've requested they add that option in a drop down.
Don't know if the developer will respond or not - we'll see.
Then you could just add the sugar alcohols and the fiber and then subtract from carbs for a closer net carbs.
Hope that helps!

Pre set days for carb cycling. only way you can do this now is change your goals daily.

Just started, so first of all thanks for the great effort. Two things I noticed will skew my numbers are the lack of an option for simply selecting the weight of foods in recipes and not being able to set calorie intensity for work outs.

On first one, I tried to get the calorie count for the Musli I eat every morning and the very extensive d-base had all or most of the components. However, I didn't find an option to simply key in that I put ~80g of rolled oats and had to look up the weight by cup and put .8 servings...

On the second, according to Polar I spend some 30% more calories per time worked out than the option offered.

Other than that, any chance that the app will include BASIS support soon?

I don't know if there was an android app update lately, but I have been unable to synch past the Measurements for 2 days now! app just spins, so I have had to enter data online...which means I cannot use the bar code scan feature. Any ideas/updates?

A drink category to enter drinks would be nice. Also, exercises that we can do at home like squats, aerobic exercises, 3 reps of 10 etc.

If you go to edit your food diary via the website, scroll down to the section that offers you to change the name of your meal categories. In addition to the breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack slots, there are 3 extra blank slots you can add on and name if you want. You could make one of those a drink slot if you want. :)

Please add feature to log blood glucose levels for people with diabetes
October 7, 2013 5:10 AM
Feature suggestions for the iphone app.

Can there be a feature added whereby you can track other stats other than your weight. ie body fat % and skeletal muscle % etc

Another handy feature would be being able to track/view the micro nutrients per meal per day

I also agree with other posts that being able to share recipes with other users would be a great feature. Its very time consuming having to create the same recipe for several users who are eating the same meal.

thank you smile
