It would be great when, during the same action that calculates the "If every day were like today" stuff, the "Complete this entry" button would calculate the 7-day total calories consumed and the total of the daily calorie goals (the net goal that includes exercise earned); the object is to show how the user has done over the past 7 days. This can be helpful to see when over or under eating is becoming a pattern, and can also give encouragement on days when the user goes over budget but is still under budget looking at the past 7 days--and it can also help them get back on track.

Example: "Over the past 7 days, you have had a total of 10,353 goal calories, and eaten 10,211 calories, or 98.6% of your goal."

Assuming you store the data in a standard relational database, these figures would be easy to obtain using sum() functions where the date >= the current date -7.

On my Samsung tablet, the android app gives weekly calorie totals. And you go can back and look at week by week history. I find that really helpful, but its not on the web version. Perhaps it could be added!!

There are some cool features on the android app that are not on the web-based version, and vice versa. Imagine that's true for the ipad app as well.

That's a shame. I tried the android app on my phone but it took up too big of a footprint and I had to remove it. I work on my laptop all day so it's easiest for me to keep MFP open on a tab, anyway. There aren't that many things I'd rather do from a phone if I can do them in a larger browser.

Well, at least they've already got the logic down & might be able to add it to the site soon. I kind of wish more companies would just invest in developing mobile websites instead of apps but maybe it's harder to do.

Thanks for letting me know! Maybe on my next phone upgrade I'll give the app a try again.

Okay, so I'm not going crazy. ;-) I could've sworn I saw this on MFP, but it must have been when using my Android app. I'd love to see it on the website too.
