I know it is common knowledge that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But, when i don't eat breakfast I feel less hungry during the day. When I eat a healthy breakfast be it small, medium, or large with protein, fruit, dairy, as most prescribe on this site...I smile am starving in 2 hours. if i just drink my latte, I can wait until lunch and then I can have more calories to spare throughout the day. Does this happen to anyone else?

If I eat breakfast I spend the entire time in the office until noon face down on my desk sleeping. No, definitely not a breakfast person.
Also prefer to "save up" calories for the evening like you do.

This is a common experience. Breakfast is really no more or less valuable than any other meal. Find what is comfortable for yourself and fit your meals into your daily routine. Just follow your calorie guide-lines, keep your protein up, and don't worry about meal timing.

It helps to boost your metabolism and break that food fast that occurs when you sleep. It's fine to be hungry a few hours after, that just means your body has burned those calories. Try eating foods with complex carbs to surpress the hunger a little longer (oatmeal, fruits, eggs, flaxseed, whole grain products ) and more of it so it takes more time for your body to digest your meal.

MellyPops-I get what you are saying as i am a nurse, but i am talking i am starving literally like an hour and a half later eating the exact items you suggest. Thanks for your kind response.

If you don't wanna eat breakfast don't...no reason you need to. Look at intermittent fasting.

Breakfast does not boost your metabolism.

I eat breakfast if I'm hungry, if not I don't eat it.

If you find you're better off without eating it then do that, we're all different and like doing things differently.

Something I've been doing here and there is Bulletproof coffee. So you aren't "eating anything" but getting healthy fats in your system.

It's 12oz of good quality coffee
1-2 tbs of organic grass fed butter
1tbs coconut oil

blend together
add unsweetened cocoa powder if you'd like or cinnamon. Keeps me full for HOURS with lots of energy.

I am the same. I've tried every kind of breakfast, tried different times, different foods etc. Breakfast also just doesn't work for me. After years of forcing breakfast to happen because everyone said how important it is, I finally decided to just listen to my body and eat when I'm hungry.

Now I have a big refreshing glass of water with lemon in the morning, workout, and have a green smoothie after. I feel great and have more calories for the afternoon/evening, when I'm really hungry.

Just listen to your body and do what works for you.

If breakfast makes it more difficult for you to create an energy deficit then just skip breakfast.

It doesn't boost your metabolism any more than it would if you were to eat later in the day.

A latte is just fine for breakfast. I usually will start my day with black coffee and I'm fine until 11 or so.

Same thing for me, too. It does not matter how I try to fit breakfast in, it just does not work for me. I like my two cups of coffee and creamer in the morning. I like to eat around the 1-2pm mark. At that point, I usually do something light otherwise I will not eat dinner. I also am on the Sensa diet for five weeks now. So it takes the cravings away and gives you that full feeling. I am 12 pounds down and it really helps.

I'm the same way. I skip breakfast and I have to remind myself to eat the rest of the day. I eat breakfast and I'm ravenous an hour or two later.

"Breakfast" in the right after you wake up, eggs and toast, "most important meal of the day" isn't necessary. All it is it breaking your fast. I break my fast at noon - do what works best for you :)
