The copy from application is very convenient. It would be alot more convenient if you could copy not just from yesterday or a given date, but from a friend that you are connected with. My husband and I have nearly item by item the exact same menu each and every day. If one of us could copy from the other it would make tracking a lot easier for both of us.

Go for it. The ability was brought to the site in Nov 2012 and has been part of the Android, iPhone and iPad apps since at least June 2012.

View your friends shared diary, click quick tools > copy to today to copy from their diary to yours.
Do note if they use all 6 meal slots you will have to also to be able to copy all their data.

Site announcement of the addition is still a sticky in tech support

Thank you for pointing that out. Makes it so much easier for us married folks.

Would also be nice if I could copy a meal from one day to a different meal on another day. (ie: yesterday's dinner to today's lunch) or be able to move an item(s) from one meal to another on the same day if I happened to enter in the wrong place. (ie; today's snack 1 to today's lunch) Would be so much easier than having to search for each item ALL OVER AGAIN.

On the website at least if you copy from dinner yesterday to dinner today and then click the food item logged in dinner it brings up the edit window and one of the "editable items" related to that meal is which of your up to 6 meal slots it is logged under.

For the other part of it "searching ALL OVER AGAIN" you don't need to do that either, it's simply the default behaviour of MFP that items logged in dinner are "only' on your dinner lists, but you can change it so your recent item from dinner last night will show up when you're on the food > food diary > click "add food" for lunch.

Website - food > food diary> pick a meal and click add food> on the "add food to (selected meal) page there is a search box and RIGHT below that search box it says "Or add favorites for (selected meal)" - DEFAULT behaviour
click that "selected meal" and pick the only other option which is ALL MEALS.
Now the items you've logged for meal 1 are available for meal 3. Can be easily changed every time you access the food diary depending how many items you want available to pick from
