Hi,
It would be handy to add in additional meals.
I have 6 meals a day plus my pre and post (protein, creatine & banana). I know I could add it to another meal but it would be handy for it to be separate.
Also having a time function would be handy as well.

Cheers Emma

+1 for having an ability to TIMESTAMP your meals. It would be a huge help!
March 2, 2013 7:38 AM
If you click on my home then settings there is a place to change the meal names.smile

Ditto. Since the goal most of us have is to have several small meals paced throughout the day it would be nice to be able to have an extra category or two.

Yes I agree. With my fitness goals I eat 7 meals a day. Time stamps would be great too! smile

I have thought the same thing. It sure would like good to have morning, afternoon, and evening "snacks" or meals instead of one category called snacks that looked like I sat down and pigged out. LOL

Food > settings
name your meals something other than the default 4 of
breakfast
lunch
dinner
snack

DO note if oyu make it something like
breakfast
snack
lunch
snack
dinner
snack
which you can as you can have 6 meal slots that your former "lunch" items will be in the first snack, former dinner items would be under lunch and the original snack would fall under the snack between lunch and dinner while dinner and the last snack wouldn't have any details for their food lists as you weren't previously using them.

I want more meals too. I wrote to MFP through the contact us and found that currently more meals can't be added.

I would like to have a sleeping snack also since the ones we have are insufficient - having about 10 snacks should cut it You have to be kidding me people, lets us start using what we have that is FREE responsibly.

I am glad, this is a ridiculous request. People need to use their imagination and do the best with what they have.

Are you serious? In meal tracking app I can't add a meal? It's like car without wheels. I eat 8 meals per day, and I must merge the last foods into one. Please add this ridiculous function.

How hard is it to add two meals together. You want 8, the next person may require 10, then 12. Where does it end. Ridiculous.

I'm with you on this one. Is it that confusing to, say, log your breakfast and your morning snack together?
September 12, 2013 10:34 AM
Is it really that important that you be able to label every separate time you eat as an idividual meal? Geez. Instead of meal names, I label each meal as a 4 hour time period. Whatever time I eat, that's where it gets logged.

What you think how hard is adding a dynamic field to website and to apps nowadays?

The reason why we use MFP is to be anal about tracking our eating. 6 meals is simply not enough.

We need the ability to to add additional meals along with times. The number of meals should not be fixed; a user should be able to click a "Add New Meal" or "Remove a Meal".

This is what I'm talking about. When they can implement add food button, they can add add meal button too.
@socajam maybe it's ridiculous function for you, but there are many other users, who need this. And I'm sure you have needs what is ridiculous for others. But it's your's and I don't care. This message was for developers and I think this topic is for that.

Well I only have 2 meals, lunch, dinner. Drop it down to 2 plz
