I believe its supposed to be an extra 200 calories a day. Would be great if that were built into the profile so one didn't have to guesstimate.

How much it is depends on if you're exclusively doing that how often etc. You know, things your health-care provider suggests.

When they tell you how much "extra" to consume each day to allow that you can
1) decrease your rate of loss. Going from 2lbs per week in the settings to 1.5 lbs per week is an extra 250 calories a day, going to 1 lb per week is 500 more calories and going to 0.5 lbs per week is 750 calories more than the 2 lb setting (all assuming that you aren't at the 1200 calorie "floor" that MFP won't put you below, if it IS a floor you might not see exactly those increases to your daily calories until you reach a point where your daily calorie goal has room to be above 1200.

2) log it as a food item to get negative calories - this route may not affect your macros if you're using a custom percentage setting instead of MFP defaults
3) log it as an exercise - this will add calories AND add them across your macros in your specific percentage settings
both 2 and 3 require you to do them daily, while 1 is a kind of set it and forget it option unless/ until you lose 10 lbs and are prompted to update your goals anyway.
