Hi there!
It could be a good option to add a shopping list function.

when entering exercise for walking. Please let me enter distance walked. It currently only allows you to enter time. I would love to be able to enter the distance and time that I walked so that it would show up in my news feed.

I had the same issue with cycling so I created a new exercise and titled it 'Cycling 7.5 miles' (for example) that way I know what I did and I can still add the time and calories..... wink

Allow users to enter specific macronutrient amounts rather than fixed +/-5%.
Also a button that takes the user back to the current day after viewing previous days/months etc.

This might sound superficial but, a like button for posts and such would be awesome!!! XD

Just like tracking one's water intake, a place to track vitamins and supplements would be great! By far, my favorite app!! Thanks

Trackers and bits for people trying to gain weight.

I would like to be able to copy over an exercise set similar to how there is a "copy meal to today" function. It's a pain having to manually copy my strength exercises over and over again.

Not sure if it has been mentioned already - Get MFP to sync with Facebook to show total calories burned. Not just the first exercise entered.

Please Please Please could you look at intergrating My Fitness Pal with Fitbug it would save so much time having to input data on fitbug then onto My Fitness Pal.

I'll second what Renothefox said in the first post:

- Ideally users could setup macronutrient goals for different meals and different days, just like people schedule different days for exercise and recovery, or lean days and refeed days.

This would be huge.

The ability to set different calorie goals for separate days. For example, I want to consume 2000 on my workout days, but 1700 on rest days. Right now, I just have the annoying tendency to just go in the red by 300 for this and guess at my fat and carb amounts.

This! /\

It's badly needed. Creating a custom food with minus calories/nutrients for workout days sort of works but it can get confusing!

For us with diabetes it would be nice to have a place to add blood suger levels with meals.

I would also appreciate it if this was done.

I have three gripes about mfp.

One is the reports, I'd like to be able to filter properly on what I want a report on. I used to use fitday and you could graph to infinity on that, which was great, but their database was useless to non-Americans. Mfp has a great database but the reports are ****. You only have 3 choices, and if you want to change the dates you're looking at you have to go back to the start.

The second is that it doesn't directly link up with Garmin Connect. I know I can go through a 3rd party (Endomondo) but that's more hassle than just typing it in.

Lastly, I would love to be able to see a calendar month overview. Somewhere I could zoom out and see filled in how many calories I ate/burnt for each day of the month as well as what I weighed and what my net calories were.

One thing that would be very useful, both on the app and on the website, is how we are able to copy meals/entries and paste them on future dates.

The downside is that what I eat for supper last night is usually my lunch the next day but I don't have the option as to which meal/time of day I copy this meal to, it automatically goes in the same spot. I realize that a work-around this is to be able to save the meal as "My Meal" and then add it the next day where I want it, but it is a few extra steps, and the copy button already exists. I'd like to be able to do the same thing in terms of moving things from Lunch to AM Snack or whatever on the same day, it's a bit of a pain to have to delete from one meal and add to another.

There should be another sections besideds breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks.. it would be great to have supplements as well.

Go to Settings > Diary Settings and scroll down to Meal Names, you can add your own there.

I would like to be able to change the ratios. I personally don't want to eat 55% of my diet as carbs.

Go to My Home > Goals > Change Goals > Custom and you can set the percentages there.

Any Diabetics:
Go to Settings > Diary Settings and change one of the nutrients tracked to Sugar, it's a start!

a vitamin/supplement reminder!
Either a message that comes up saying "did you take?"
or another tab to the right of the exercise tab where you add in or check it off.
You wouldn't need to update the database for this feature. Just something generic like:
Daily multi
Omega
D supplement
Other supplement
Medicine #1
Meidcine #2

etc etc etc
April 3, 2013 6:48 AM
I made my own "meal" for vitamins/supplements/etc in my diary settings so at least I have this on my radar, but a seperate section would be nice.
April 3, 2013 6:58 AM
I agree with this one. I would love to be able to hit one button that allows me to enter for lunch what I had for dinner the night before, etc.

I'd love if MFP actually took into account weight lifting into the caloric intake and not just cardio. I seriously think I'm going under mine because it doesn't. I get this option may be complicated to figure out due to how strenuous lifting is on different people for different weight, just an idea.

Also, if MFP could team up with fitocracy and Nike+ or at least be able to link up. It'll just make logging workouts that much easier for caloric accuracy.
April 3, 2013 7:04 AM
I agree with the responses in support of the ability to have different calorie and macro-nutrient goals for different days. I actually eat a surplus on workout days and a deficit on rest days. Not all of us are trying to lose weight, and not all of us are trying to lose weight by eating the exact same deficit on every day.
