What is better for you, Ensure or Slimfast?

I've heard Ensure gives you calories you DON'T want, because that's what, and please forgive me for saying this, old people drink because they can't eat.

Any opinions on this?

I belive that Ensure is more to make you gain weight..they give this to people to drink that need a boost in gaining some pounds..and of course the slimfast is for the weight if you are looking to supplement a meal to lose weight go for the slimfast..

I drink a slimfast every morning due to my busy hectic job. With that being stated, there is a lot of sugar in it. But I drink it anyway.drinker

What about Special K. Has anyone drank that, and if so does it taste any good? I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow, and I need some ideas for snack shakes.

I dunno, but I personally think Ensure tastes better than Slimfast.

I drink both slimfast and special K. I like the milk chocolate slimfast 321. I also like that I can get 24 cans for 20.00 at Sam's Club. When I find it on sale, I like the strawberry Special K. I have not found that in bulk yet. It is just nice for a change. I don't notice a difference in weight loss in one over the other. I only replace one meal with it, breakfast, but it does make my mornings a lot easier.

My mom did a nutrition comparison and found that slimfast had way more nutritional stuff in it than the other brands of instant breakfasts. I don't remember what all the results were, just that slimfast was better. I try not to always do slimfast, but when I am running late for work it's better than nothing.

If you are looking for a meal replacement, I really recommend Shakeology. I drink it every morning for breakfast and so does my husband. Even my 10 year old daughter likes it! It has whole-food ingredients that deliver the protein, essential amino acids, vitamins, and minerals your body needs to curb cravings, allowing your body to shed stored fat while the more than 20 different antioxidants and phytonutrients help reduce free radical damage that can lead to heart disease, heart attacks, high blood pressure, and stroke. It comes in two flavors, chocolate and greenberry. My family likes chocolate and we customize it to our own tastes...peanut butter and chocolate, peppermint mocha, chocolate banana etc. If you want more info, please send me a private message. I'd be glad to tell you more about it. In a few weeks we will find out how it is positively effecting my husbands cholesterol levels...hopefully allowing him to be done with taking any more statin drugs to reduce his cholesterol.drinker
