I "like" this post. bigsmile I also think it would cut down on the number of responses for a post as well, which might make them a little easier to navigate.

Probably not. Facebook has some intellectual property around the "like" button, so installing one here would potentially invite them to sue our little website into oblivion.

Yeah, we really need a like button so that we can always side with the majority instead of using our own brains to think critically about the ideas of another.

In Windows, ALT and 24 on the number pad (hold down ALT, then press 2 and then 4) is an up arrow, which signifies you like something. ↑

saying "great job" "awesome" "wicked" "wtg" is just as monotonous as a "like" button or any other button of the sort; sometimes there just isn't much more to say to someone besides this, so I don't think "meaningful" discussions will be lost on someone's calorie burn if there is a "like" button. Sometimes that is all I want to do… give someone a high-5, if you will.

Agreed - a LIKE button would be a great, quick way to offer encouragement and support on our friend's posts - please add this soon smile

i'd support a like and "who quoted me" function, especially for the forums.

somebody may respond to my reply, and with threads that are dozens of pages long, i will never know that they responded.
