There are times when creating a recipe or meal that I would love to be able to share with only those on my friends list who are eating with me and would need the details. Since it's not a recipe/meal a lot of people would use, it doesn't need to be shared with all of myfitnesspal.com. Both my husband and I use the site but we both have to enter all of our meals and recipes individually to our accounts so as not to share them on the entire site and have to search through everything. It would be nice to be able to check a box to share only with friends since it's also an option to share with the entire site or not at all.

iPhone, iPad, Android users and since Nov 14th 2012 users of the website (leaving only Blackberry and Windows Phone platforms without it) can copy the nutritional details from a recipe logged in any friends diary they can view. Meaning log the recipe once in your account, make sure it's shared, your friends view your diary and
Website - click quick tools > copy to today app - click wrench / spanner in the header with the meal name > copy to today this will copy the nutritional info and it will copy it from your meal slot say 5 to their meal slot 5 even if your 5 is dinner and theirs is 4 for dinner. (we all have up to 6 slots, it copies from the specific slot on yours to theirs in the same slot so may need edited to get to the proper meal slot) and make sure if you have all 6 slots in use that your friends do too. No more "wasting time" searching and double-checking that you're using the exact same ingredients for nutritional details to match. It does NOT copy the recipe itself but the nutritional details which may be what your friends need if they just ate something you prepared.
