I was curious as to how many calories per hour I burn when bartending. I've scanned the forum and cant really find an answer.

When entering exercise, if I choose STANDING, the only options that come up are FISHING ON A RIVERBANK STANDING, and PLAYING A GUITAR STANDING. If I choose FISHING and enter 540 (9 hours) it comes up to about 3,100 calories burned. Does this seem right?

I guess I'm like everyone else on here and don't know quite how to list it as exercise.

Thanks for your help!

If your job is to bar tend, don't log it as exercise.

Instead, when you set up your account, choose the appropriate activity level. Sedentary means you sit all day--which is what I had to pick--but you would chose a more active daily activity level. Do you think you walk more or less than a waitress? I know waitressing is mentioned as an example of one of the activity levels.

You can update your activity level by changing your profile settings.

Only real way to know how much you burn is by wearing a heart rate monitor, especially with something like bartending as it really depends what you do, how much you move and if you break a sweat.

I bartend only on the weekends the rest of the week I am at a desk job. I found one site that says 86 calories an hour I am going to go with that.
