TOPIC: can we get notifications on here for comments posted? |

i notice i have to actively check my profile to see if someone has posted a comment to me. wouldnt it make more sense to receive some kind of notification (on the site, not by email) like a little red number when someone posts a comment to your profile?

Has anything happened with this? It would be great to get notifications on the website. I don't like filling up my email box with them.

I agree! I love the social aspect of this website & I get notifications on MY status', but when I comment on someone else's stats? I never know if they reply unless I go back to their page. A notification option would ROCK!

Agree. It should work like Facebook, except I would like the option NOT to be notified if someone else comments on the same thread.
I too love the social aspect and now spend more of my time here than on FB. It keeps me motivated and interested. Keep up the awesome work MFP!

Please consider adding this! I find myself constantly checking back on statuses to see if someone replied. I don't want people to feel ignored, either. I get notifications on my phone when someone comments on my status, but on a laptop/computer it would be nice to have a notification just like the one for the inbox and friend requests.

The flip side of it is important too. I find that sometimes I've commented on a person's status update or asked them a question and they just don't see it. Then I'm left wondering if they actually didn't see it or if they are ignoring me. Should I be a pest and message them? Should I let it slide? I don't know! Notifications would let others know when I've commented to them.
