This as driven me friggin nuts for the longest time and it should be a feature in the smartphone apps. We should be able to move or copy entries into another meal. For instance, move an entry from dinner to lunch.

I frequently have leftovers from dinner for lunch the next day. There is no straightforward way to accomplish this except to add everything in manually.

Another thing that happens is I sometimes create an entry in the wrong meal. I have to delete, search again and add it back into the correct meal. We should be able to move or copy!

Remember meal > save meal as "leftovers" or "temporary meal"

Presto, that's all there is to it

I agree with OP - it seems a simple thing to fix. Still, at least we now appear to be able to edit recipes :)

I just copy over to the new day and move it to the right meal...

On the web at least you click on each item in a meal (when logged in the wrong spot) and that brings up an edit window where you can change the number of servings, of what serving size AND which of the daily meals it's logged for.

Also you don't have to "manually" search for each food item to add it to every list... it's just MFPs default behaviour that your most used / recent lists are broken down on a meal by meal basis... with up to 6 meal slots that gives you 150 most used foods and 600 recently used foods... but you can change this

BUT if you change your settings... it's default behaviour that each list is broken down by meal, change one setting and you can have food logged for any meal slot available for any other.
It does limit you to 100 food items on recent instead of 600 when you have 100 items for each of your 6 meals

It's an option on all the platforms
ie Windows Phone
iPad iPhone use the same one as Android
it's right on the "search" screen when you've gone to "food > food diary> picked a meal and clicked "add food" on the "add food to selected meal" page there is the "Search box" and RIGHT below that a line that says "or add favorites for "selected meal" click that and you can change to the only other option which is ALL meals, or if it says ALL meals you can revert to "selected meal" which is default behaviour / setting

Thanks for the info!

I am actually aware of all those methods and will try to do that next time. For some reason though my intuition always tells me to look for an easy way to copy/move around single entries.
