I want to slice and freeze apples this weekend so it will be easier to make apple slices on Wednesday, all I will have to do is take them out of the freezer. What is the best way to freeze sliced apples, no skin, so they do not turn all brown? Thanks!

I have frozen apple slices for apple pies and cobblers in the past..it's been awhile. You don't want them to go brown so you will need to dip them in something acid like lemon juice or ascorbic acid...usually sold in powdered form in a drugstore, either one in water. This will stop them from going brown. Dry on paper towel or clean tea towel and seal in bag and freeze. When I did this in the past, I also used cinnamon and a little sugar. Worked for me.
