I just started using this site but I love it so far. My suggestion is this: When people are setting their weight loss goals, there is no option for breast feeding or pumping moms when it comes to caloric intake. Is there any way to add this feature? I want to make sure I eat enough to lose weight but not interfere with my milk production. Thanks!

Check with your healthcare provider to get how many "extra" calories they want you to have
I'd start with decreasing your "desired rate of loss" on your profile at (assuming you are not set to "maintain weight") my home > settings > update diet / fitness profile if you decrease your rate of loss 0.5 lbs per week that's an extra 250 calories a day, decrease by 1lb per week and that's the 500 calories "added" to your day There are user supplied "food" entries for breast feeding or breastfeeding (39 and 6 or so results respectively) these will give you extra calories to eat, though if you're using custom macro %'s it likely won't increase your macros to match Entering it as an exercise DOES apply the extra calories and applies them across your macro percentages. Both of those routes require you to do them daily Or you can go to my home > goals > change goals > custom and increase your calories the amount you want that way is a set it and forget it unless / until you lose 10 lbs from your last manual update at which time you'd be prompted to update and have to reset the extra calories.

^^^ this
If you want you can look at my food log to see what it looks like. I usually log it at breakfast. You definitely want to eat enough so your little one's food supply doesn't diminish. Best of luck.

As others have said, if you add it to your food log it will subtract calories. Just search "Breastfeeding" where you would type in a food item and some options will pop up. I have always done 500 calories, and i am now nursing my 17 month old and I am still adding 500 calories because he still nurses a ton!
There are different options to choose from though!

Ballpark 600 calories per day for breastfeeding. thats calories burned. I am an RN, running a pediatric home health agency. That is the standard we teach moms.
