Hello,
My partner and I both use MFP and love it. I have been going for just over a month and have lost around 6lbs. Very happy.

Suggestion 1: I am just starting training for a marathon and wanted to suggest the ability to upload a schedule and track myself against my target. It could be time, distance or both. This could be adapted for any distance from 5km up to 42km and more and could be based on the number on weeks of the training programme up to the "big day". Would be good also to see how weight tracks against the same programme. Happy to discuss further if you are interested.

Suggestion 2: As mentioned my partner and I both use MFP and as such we plan our meals together and find that both having to upload our meals separately is a bit of a pain. Is it possible to create a function to be able to share meals between friends? Perhaps this already exists but I cant find it but it would be really great and make the tracking much easier.

Thanks for a great app and with future development.
Brgds

suggestion 2 "exists" for users of the iPhone, iPad or Android app. If someone using one of those apps views your shared diary they can click the wrench / spanner near the calories / in the same header as the meal name and copy to their own diary.

Depending on what you have logged IE 7 ingredients making up a meal they'll get that, if you have entered those 7 ingredients as a recipe so only one line shows in your diary, well that's what they get to copy too, the nutritional info of a serving, rather than the actual recipe itself.

For those that don't have the mobile apps you may find it easier to create a recipe once and then create a new FOOD to the database based on the nutritional info. When they then search for your newly shared food they'll be able to log the nutritional info to their own diary.

Apparently I have to reply so I hope I don't screw up a thread here.

I have a couple suggestions:

One is that I want to be able to include a recipe in a new recipe. I don't really care if the seperate ingredients come in or not, but don't want to have to create a new recipe from scratch when it has already been entered. I even tried to edit a recipe and change the name: failure. The old recipe became the new recipe.

There also needs to be a 'today' buttong somewhere for when you are scanning back through your records.

Well, a third suggestion while I am at it - need a BMI calculator to show me my current (or pick a day) BMI.

Hope to see these in an update soon.

BMI is available on the site any day you want it

Apps > BMI > enter weight and height and calculate your BMI on the spot

The "today" feature can be accessed by clicking "food diary" at the top of the page any time you're ready to go back to the current day, or if you're within the month click the calendar to the right of the "forward / tomorrow" button and click todays date.

Thanks for the "Today" suggestions.

I might be blind, but when I go to Apps on either my iPhone or my computer, I see nothing for BMI. Could you guide me a little bit?

Thanks.

On the computer in the light blue bar up top click apps... on the darker blue bar showing which of the upper tabs is active (apps and the bar below it will be darker) from that darker blue line click BMI

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/tools/bmi-calculator
is the same spot.
