TOPIC: MFP and Fitbit NOT syncing

MFP and Fitbit are NOT syncing. I have tried all the information posted in other threads to correct the problem and this does not work. I have tried re-adding the app in MFP to sync and it says it is successful and I can "get started now" but then it says no apps are allowed. I have seen several posts from others this morning with the same problem. What is going on?

I've run into the same problem! My myfitnesspal account disconnected from my Fitbit account sometime yesterday and I keep getting the same message as you when I try to connect my fitbit to my account

Ditto, my Fitbit is not syncing to my MFP account. I should have a Fitbit adjustment for today. Lots of walking; anyway nothing.

I have not had any adjustment today ... anyone know how to relink them ??

Hi All,

Sorry for any issues with Fitbit. I have looked into all three of your accounts and it appears that all three of your are not currently linked to Fitbit. You can confirm this by going to

Can you let me know if you were connected prior to today?

You can relink your Fitbit by clicking the APPS tab and then choosing Fitbit Tracker. The option to link your Fitbit will be under the green button.

me too!!! I just emailed tech support about this. Mine haven't been syncing for a couple of days and it's so difficult when you get used to it. :( Anyone know what's going on?

Hi Scott.. have tried that several times and it keeps telling me that I am connected and then when it says start now it comes up with .. you have no authorized applications ...?? Any ideas ??

And yes I was connected up to at least midnight yesterday

Karen- that is exactly what happens with mine! I do the same process over and over again. Then when I check in FitBit is says my systems are synced.

I tried to re-connect everything. . .it's NOT working. I noticed last night when I entered my exercises, didn't get the 'time started' section. Then Fitbit adjustment didn't show up. . .then said "site down for maintenence". . hasn't been same since.
And yes, I did EVERYTHING everyone else did. Screen says "congratulations, you are connected" etc. etc. . . . you check the APPS tab----NOTHING!!!
This worked fine before, what's going on???angry

Thanks for the information. We have identified an issue with Fitbit and we are working to resolve. I am going to lock this topic so I can leave only my updates about the status of the issue and not have them convoluted with other potential issues.

UPDATE 3:37pm PST - We are aware that users who were at one point linked with MyFitnessPal are no longer linked and when they try to re-link accounts everything goes through as it should, but the account is not actually linked. Which can be confirmed by visiting

UPDATE 5:00pm PST - We believe the issue has been resolved and all users who were unlinked should be able to re-link their Fitbit with MyFitnessPal. My apologies for the inconvenience this may have caused, we are hoping the issue has been resolved. Please manually re-link your Fitbit by clicking the APPS tab, choosing "Fitbit Tracker" and click the link that says "Connect Accounts" under the green "How to Buy" button. Your account should link and then show as connect on

If your Fitbit fails to update please send me a PM and we can investigate further for you. Again, my apologies for the issue and thank you for your patience.

UPDATE 5:49pm PST - It appears the linking of Fitbit to MyFitnessPal has been restored, but the data is not syncing properly between accounts. I will post here with updated information as soon as I receive it.

8:14pm PST - Our engineers have notified me that all user who were effected should be able to re-link their MyFitnessPal accounts to Fitbit and have all of their data sync as normal. My sincerest apologies to those who were effected by Fitbit issue, we had a problem with a server that caused accounts to become unlinked. We have identified the cause and have put in place mechanisms to prevent this from happening again. Thank you for your patience, our team understands how frustrating and inconvenient it can be to when the sites don't communicate properly.

Hi Folks,

Some of you who had relinked may now have been unlinked again, my apologies. If you could please follow the steps above to relink your device you should be able to connect again.

My sincerest apologies for the unlinking again, we hope this has been completely resolved now.
