Hi, I can't find ANYTHING online when I log into my Body Bugg via "My Apex Fitness" about linking with MFP. I see that Body Media Fit is linked with MFP now and am confused if that means I should be able to link my Body Bugg SP or not? I tried to call Body Bugg but they are closed now. Since they are put out by Body Media Fit (they even say that on the arm band), wouldn't it still work? I love love love my body bugg, but their food tracking database is TERRIBLE and I really would LOVE IT IF I could link it with MFP. Please advise. Thank you!

I would like an answer to this as well. I called BB and the guy was very vague and said you will find out on Facebook as soon as we find out. I asked is it in the works? He blew my question off. If someone at MFP could let us BB know if there will be an integration, I will greatly appreciate it.
Thanks! |

I don't have the BB that links to a phone, I have the one with the display and I'm wondering if it will ever be linked to MFP through the website?? I'm actually thinking of just purchasing the Body Media that links to a phone and put my BB up for sale, which the bummer is, I know I'll lose a ton on money on it. I want one that links, but just can't decide if its worth spending the money when I already have a BB. So I too would love to know if they are going to link the BB, and if they are, will it only be for the ones that link to a phone.

In to find out if something is in the works. Ill definitely buy a body media FIT when my bodybugg SP subscription runs out... Since I would love the MFP syncing and I honestly haven't been very impressed with bodybugg overall

I asked a similar question about the Scosche MyTrek. The Scosche Rhythm is linkable, the MyTrek isn't yet. Here is the reply I received:
Thanks for taking the time to contact us. We are working with many brands to bring similar functionality to our app, similar to how we have with the Rhythm. While I don't have a specific release date, we are looking to expand. Thanks for your patience! That being said, as far as the Body Bugg goes, if you sign into the same webpage as the Body Fit Media then it may transfer to MFP. If its a different site you login to, it won't.

I emailed BB and they said....as of now, they have no plans of syncing with MFP. Bummer, I'm considering dumping my BB and purchasing a Body Media.

That is very disappointing that they won't link. Trying to buy my body bugg sp was a real hassel because its 400 in canada........and its made there...that makes a whole lot of sense. ONly about a hundred in the states. It was fantastic but then it once in awhile while connecting to my iphon app.......and ya the food diary on it does suck!....it woul say soemthing along the lines that it wouldnt connect. Oh ya.....basically my iphone itself would recognize the device on bluetooth but the app and bugg itself wouldn't. ANd it would record anything unil you plugged it into the computer and synced it with the computer. Really aggrevating. It got more and more often, to the point i don't use it. So glad i didnt pay 400 for it, but it was still 100 bucks!
Is the bodymedia armands that do link with myfitnesspal just as good for accuracy as the bodybugg? WHen it did work, it was pretty good........... |

Here's the answer I got below
Hi, Thanks for taking the time to write to us regarding our integration with BodyMedia While BodyMedia manufactures the BodyBugg, the device currently uses software that is not compatible with the MyFitnessPal platform. At the present time, it is not possible to link a BodyBugg with a MyFitnessPal account. However, we're working toward supporting the BodyBugg in future, and we greatly appreciate your interest in integrating your device with MyFitnessPal. Please let us know if there's anything else we can do to support you. Take care, Rachel ------------------------- We'd love to hear your thoughts on our customer service! We welcome your feedback responses at any time, but use of the feedback link to request additional tech support will delay the response from our support team. I am not sure if anyone is still considering the Body Media in place of the BodyBugg but if you are I thought I would let you know that I just purchased the Body Media unit from Costco for $119 plus tax. It comes with a 12-month membership. This price is only good until 1-20-13. The is the same price on many sites but most of those only come with a 3-month membership. I am replaceing my BodyBugg version 2 and BodyBugg SP. I will be giving my others to family members. Hopefully this one will link to my phone better than the BodyBugg, which never seemed to link properly.

babysvt:
I know you just posted this today, so you may not even know the answer yet. Can you tell me if the food database is any better in the Body Media program than it is in the BodyBugg program? Or is Body Media only using the Fitness Pal food database now? Thanks for the info! |

I have my BodyMedia Fit linked to MFP. I only log my food on MFP as instructed. It automatically loads my food to the BodyMedia app (I have an andriod) and website. I don't enter my calorie burn on MFP. I keep track during the day on my phone then I sync my armband every night or first thing in the morning. This sends your calorie burn to MFP. I wish the BMF phone app automatically synced with the BMF website. It's my only complaint ( a small one). I really like it and I get a true TDEE insead of the estimated one from MFP.
