I use Jefit to track my strength training and it would be great if it could report to MFP automatically when activities are recorded. The application www.jefit.com already have integration with others calories tracking applications, but i really love MyFitnessPal. I'd hate to leave MFP by lack of integration.

Agreed. I use Endomondo to track my runs but nothing comes close to Jefit when strength training. Integration would be great. I would also like a better UI and tracking of supplements being used.

After looking at some of the Jefit forum threads related to integration, I'm not overly hopeful on this one... From what I've seen (from moderators I guess, and not Jefit staffers), Jefit seems to think of other sites like MFP as competitors. Whether that's true, I don't know, but Jefit does seem to have an almost complete lack of integration with other sites & services.

Unfortunately, I haven't found anything that I like quite as much for tracking strength training routines, mostly because of the Jefit iPhone app's interface for entering routines & timing rest periods.

I'm open to suggestions for alternatives at this point though. :)

I started looking around as well. I'm trying out Fitocracy. It's much more social based and much different in it's interface. BodBot is another one I'm testing at, but it's not as flexible.

Neither work with MFP yet, but Fitocracy looks to be the best opportunity as it does integrate with other sites such as RunKeeper.

I've tried Fitocracy a few times & it's just ungodly painful to use for its intended purpose, let alone for actually tracking resistance training progress. More often than not their web interface is simply unusable (Bad Gateway errors after a couple of clicks in any browser except Internet Explorer), and their method for saving a day's exercise as a routine was flaky at best.

It's a cool idea. A lot of people seem to like it. I'd like to like it. But (clearly) I don't. :)

Yep. I tried 6 different workout apps before settling on Jefit, and it was recommended on another forum I frequent. The only other thing that came somewhat close was Gym Geek, but I found it a tad bit clunky. Pumping Weight came highly recommended, but I sure as heck couldn't figure it out.

I was just thinking how great it would be if I could have MyFitnessPal get all of my exercise data for the day without me having to re-enter it.

Integration over all is a great thing. I've decided that it trumps features.
I've been using endomondo with a Zephyr HRM which is nice. I prefer endomondo over my Suunto t6 (it's a great HRM but their syncing isn't good yet).
The features that were the most importnt for me were:
The ease of syncing
The larger display on my phone vs watch
The interval training (its far fromperfect)
The community (my friends) may be able to root me on

These seem more important, especially the ease of syncing to mfp, than the great EPOC measurements, which I always liked.

The question for endomondo and mfp are when will they get the integration better with jefit like exercises? It would make mfp better for people that train seriously.

I'd like the integration as well, but I really want a tool for tracking resistance training exercise... and Endomondo ain't it. ;-)

There's pretty much zero functionality for tracking anything but heart rate in Endomondo (or similar tools like RunKeeper, Runtastic, and MapMyRun). No sets, no reps, no rest timers, no improvement benchmarks = no good for lifting.

With that said, I do sync my resistance training HRM data into other sites... I've tried Endomondo & currently tinkering with RunKeeper, which I have tied to Fitbit/MFP via SyncMetrics.com).

If Endo & the others would provide better support for non-run/walk activities & improve even treadmill tracking, I'd be much happier. :)

Another that would really like to see jefit synch.

I would love to see this too, I guess it's mainly a question of JeFit creating an API

Yes please add Jefit!

Jefit's been pretty clear that they aren't all that interested in integrating with other services. At the very least, they've expressed that they've "no plans" to tie into other fitness services, and I've yet to see any suggestion that they might tie into anything other than Facebook/Twitter-style "sharing" APIs.

I've recently switched over to using GymHero on my iPhone, which ties into RunKeeper, which I have linked to MFP.

It at least gives me a central place to store my exercise logs (RunKeeper), although it's not really as robust a trending solution as Jefit, and there's no sync of calorie burn estimates into MFP from RK. Not a huge deal... I just manually add the activity to MFP.

GymHero does let me export my workouts at least (to CSV format)... Something that Jefit has so far refused to do.

Jefit has to be the only decent app for those who workout at the gym, so integration would be nice with MFP, if nothing else an idea of the calories burned after a seance

There's a positive response over on the jefit forum.
Hopefully a possibility?

Please integrate it with jefit!
