I am new to "MFT' but one thing I am wanting is a single location/database where the foods I have previously logged to a specific grouping (i.e. Breakfast/lunch/dinner/snacks) are available for use in a different grouping. Right now it appears that to add an item which is currently under 'lunch ' to 'dinner' I either have to relocate it in the database and select it for the specific meal or find it in a prior meal and select it for 'dinner'. I would like a database which displayed all of the foods I have previously eaten (regardless of the meal). I could simply select the applicable ones and add them to the meal I am recording. Or, perhaps this feature exists and I don't know how to use it. (I had thought the "My Foods" selection was this type of database, but I am wrong.

Suggestions are appreciated. While computers are not exactly foreign to me I am not up on the latest and greatest. Us old guys use to paper and pencil with a very large eraser

You CAN however change the behaviour so that all your food items (up to 100, the 4 pages of 25 on recent tab) show up across all meals.

To get your food items logged wherever they are in your diary to any other slot of your diary...
Pick your platform

Website
food > food diary > pick a meal
on the "add food to (meal selected) page there is a search box and RIGHT below it
"or add favorites for (meal selected)
click that (meal selected) and change to the only other option "all meals"

"My foods" is specifically that... foods you have personally created to the database (your own or to MFP in general) or that you have edited the info of making them "mine"

That is what i was looking for. Thank you. Now, back to loosing weight. (I wonder how many keyboard strokes it takes to burn 1 calorie? Or does a keyboard stroke count as exercise? - NO, I really don't want to know!)
