MFP says nudity and photos as such are prohibited on the site and im tired of looking at other womens bare asses. . it unclassy, gross and unnecessary for a weight loss site. . . . . anyone else sick of seeing this crap too? its quite disgusting. . . .
and clearly no one is moderating the member pictures . . . just the forums.
****STAFF NOTE *****
Just to follow up to what the OP wrote. Whether you want to accuse them of being a tattle tale (against guidelines too) or not the bottom line is that pictures of men and women in thongs is a violation of the guidelines. Any user with a profile picture in violation of guideline number 12 will be warned for a first offense and subsequent profile picture violators will have their photo upload privileges blocked.
The OP is well within her rights to request to not have to see this. Our site requires any post to be filtered through our guidelines first.
Cheers,
Scott

A thong is not nudity, it's underwear. I don't consider it "gross" or "disgusting" unless an obese person is wearing it. Plus it often provides motivation for others which is perfectly suitable for a weight loss site.

Wow this is rude. So on a weight loss site the only people aloud to be confident in their bodies are fit people!?
And yes I agree with the OP, they should not be aloud at all, it clearly states in the terms and conditions no under wear pictures.

I don't think it is necessary to pose in a semi-nude manner to show that you are happy and confident in your body. On the other hand, I certainly don't mind looking at the women who choose to do so (regardless of if they are 300 pounds or 105 pounds, as I am looking to recognize their success).
Edit: Do you have some examples of the pic's you find particularly out of place, I really have not seen that many and none of my friends have pictures that I have thought were inappropriate.

Not what I said at all. Everyone is "allowed" to be confident in their bodies. The OP said what she found to be gross or disgusting (thongs), I simple said what I found to be the same. We each have our own personal viewpoints.
Your spelling needs work, dear.

No need to be critical, I am sure it was "simply" an oversight.

while I wouldn't personally do it, a thong can help show the fact that you've worked your butt off or up, as in a butt lift from all the exercises done. To each their own. They want their butt in everyone's face and don't care, good on them.

I personally don't care, if I don't want to see it - I'll just move on.
Posting a forum just stirs up unnecessary trouble.
If you find it offensive, just report them.

I can honestly say I haven't seen this on any of my friend's pages or any forums that I have visited. I really hope this is not what MFP turns into because that is the very reason I keep my friend list small and stopped 95% of my Instagram viewing. I completely CLOSED twitter. To each his own but definitely not my cup of tea unless I'm in a stripclub that is.

Where are these thongs you speak of? I've never seen anyone with a pic of themselves in a thong....
