I am starting to get into Yoga and was wondering if anyone had any books/videos/or any other resources that they recommended for the beginner. I would like to learn about the entire practice of yoga - both physical and spiritual. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated :)

I don't know if you are a Jillian fan or not, but she has recently discovered the benefits of Yoga and has a bunch of books about it under her recommendations on her website. I wish I had more to offer you. I also am fascinated by Yoga and all of the physical and spiritual benefits that come from it. However, I am so overwhelmed just being thrown into the world of diet and fitness that I haven't been able to delve into a particular practice yet.

I just left a reply that got sucked into the cyber void. Hopefully this will make it through.

Bryan Kest's beginner DVD is a great place to start. I still do the 20-minute practice to this day — it's excellent.

I wish I'd had both of Sara Ivanhoe's "Yoga for Dummies" when I first started out. She also leads the Yoga Live "Beginner Basics" DVD. Though I haven't previewed it, I love the Yoga Live series and imagine it would be a good place to start.
