I keep trying! If I win, I will sponsor a BT getaway if you promise not to make me run. laugh

This team is AMAZING, as so many have already said! Love the support, the positive comments, and the kicks in the pants when needed! Thank you for the encouragement to not get too down on myself about the time. I'm still second guessing and kicking myself, but I am happy and proud I completed. Donna, you are absolutely correct about the labor analogy. I've been saying that too. My NEXT marathon will not be all incline and hills into the wind for the last 6 miles though....if there is a next I am not going to say never, though. When I walked in the mornings with good friends, I said I would NEVER be a runner. When I started running and some friends did Dam to Dam (20K) I swore I would NEVER do that! I always said I would NEVER do a marathon...well, you know how that ends.

I feel pretty good today. I am a bit sore in the quads, but nothing too bad. I took ibuprofen this morning and again at noon. I'm not overly tired.

Jeannine: Wish you weren't so far away...I would LOVE to do the Color Run with you. (Or Color Me Rad, can't remember which). there was one here this weekend. If it hadn't been marathon weekend, I would have done it. I think it just looks like silly fun! And as long as you are moving, who cares if it is a run/walk/wog?!?!

When we finally win the lottery and have the BT reunion - let's do a Color Run! Only, I'll be falling down from laughing too much!

Kaylynne - yesterday I ran my longest ever - in time and distance. You were my inspiration the whole way. I'm really fighting not setting up a marathon as a goal but I'm not going to say never!

I have been looking at this in my area. I do not want to run, but I can wog. It is in February which is lovely here.

OK everyone, I need your help! :) My Previvor Sisters and I made a video. We swallowed our pride and danced Gangnam Style. The reason we did it was to hopefully get it to go at least semi viral so that we can raise awareness about Previvors.

We are desperately hoping that we will catch the attention of The Ellen Show, Katie, or any other talk show that would give us a platform to talk about our stories.

So here is what I am asking......

#1. Please go watch our video. :) Trust me, it will make your day!
#2. Please send a note to The Ellen Show with the link to our video

Without sharing too much information-- when my cycle is imminent....like today....I tend towards the, um, gassier side of life. Day of onset = rootin-tootin' mama.

Good morning!

Loved the photos, Kaylynne. That's standard Minnesota headgear, imho!

I"m going to take a Thursday Do-Over this week. Nothing too bad but there's a pattern here. Out to eat a couple of times over the weekend, a drink or two and the water weight gain pushes the scale up. It starts coming down on Tuesday but really needs until Thursday to settle down. Then the weekend comes and the cycle starts all over again. Sigh. I'm still giving it to the end of the month in hopes of getting back down to August's all-time low but it isn't looking too likely. I'll just go back to the two-pound maintenance range (albeit a lower one) and give up on the idea of losing more. Not complaining - I really need to get over this scale worship addiction.

Greetings, my friends--

got a call from Aaron at 11:30 to come pick him up. He's not rolling with this latest punch (wired jaw) very well, I must say. He's very angry, borderline disrespectful. All but refusing the protein shakes, et cetera, that he can have because, he's "sick of that crap."

Well, okay, my son....you have very few choices right now. Slurp "that crap," or starve.

He won't take the liquid acetaminophen I bought.... "It doesn't help. My jaw is killing me." Well, yes, but it will take the edge off...and if you take it every six hours, you could keep the major pain at bay.

I know he's putting on more of the act for my benefit. He refuses everything I offer him, saying he's sick of it....and then I see in the garbage the empty yogurt and pudding cups. I feel bad for him, but this is the hand he was dealt.....sucks, yes. But, life's a *****...ya know?

I'm succeeding so far not losing my temper with him. Stuck in my craw is the knowledge that had I taken him to the emergency room at my husband's urging, his jaw wouldn't be broken. No, I'm not beating myself up too much....but that's a fact. This break rests firmly on my shoulders.... Fact.

Having said that, that's now irrelevant. This is the deal....your jaw is busted. It was healing incorrectly and would cause greater long term problems and pain. He was already complaining of pain shooting down the jawline....doctor says that's because it was healing incorrectly...and the muscles were causing the problems.....

Since I began this post-- doctor called. Seems like something has loosened in the wiring....she wants to see him. Need to figure out how to work this out...

Later.

Well-- so, doctor took off the wires. She said the mid-line was much better already-- and was in line. So, she cut off the wires and instead she put on some heavy duty rubber bands....which Aaron has already taken off.

I'm cool with it. The xray is cool. The midline is cool, for now. As long as he doesn't do any major chewing, and sticks to the soft-ish diet, I'll let him slide. We compromised that he'd wear them at night....

The kid is in agony when they're on. And he can't eat. He needs food and to put on weight and regain his strength right now more than anything-- he's skin and bones. So, whatever.....

Hello! Hope you all are doing well. Glad they took off the wires for Aaron. Hope he keeps on the rubberbands or he may regret it later.

Kaylyne I love the pix! You look just as good at the end as you did in the beginning! Wow! love hero

Kati......hello my sweet. Love your av.

As for me, I need to do something to make me feel proud. I am eating better. Figuring out my finances. I am going to make a list and work on it. First and foremost, I need to be able to post a good 30 minute walk/jog. flowerforyou

I have been watching the Long Island Medium. LOVE this woman! She is a crack up and for some reason I totally believe her.

Well for the past few days I have been seeing shadows out of the corner of my eye. It is kinda creeping me out, and if it is my mom I wish she would just do the laundry or dishes or something. I mean, come on......make yourself useful!laugh

I must have been insane when I signed up for this tri! Oh the things we do when we think they will motivate us. Too bad it didn't!

Tom leaves the 22nd. I sure hope I pull my **** together after that. I did eat good for the past 2 days. Right now, that's saying something. I haven't seen under 160 for 2 months to the best of my calculating. I got close on my birthday, 1/2 pound away. I'm determined to get back in my 150's before this time next week. Gotta start somewhere. Right?
