Checking in. Today 195, gw still 175. Hope everyone is doing well. What is everyone's biggest challenge with weight loss and how have you overcome/overcoming it?

Happy Monday!

I lost 1 pound this week officially. I say that because in the beginning of the week I was up 4 pounds I spent the weekend at the beach with friends and didn't think too much about what I was eating and drinking. So upon return from the beach on Tuesday I got back on track and lost those 4 pounds plus 1. The old me would have thought it could have been 5 pounds down had I "behaved" but the new me says this is a journey not a race and to keep going I need to enjoy the journey. It's ok to be sidetracked a lil bit as long as I get back on the right road quickly before I become lost. 😌

Good job and great philosophy. My biggest challenge is the weekends. I like to eat out or just snack on whatever is in the house. I'm also not looking forward to the holidays... I love holiday food.

Me too....we have to have a plan to get through the holidays and make our goal weight!!!! What will yours be?

I have no idea how to combat the temptation of holiday food... except maybe portion control - everything in moderation. I'm trying to do the best I can now so that a minor slip up over the holidays won't set me too far back. Also, "the holidays" are actually only 2 days... If I manage to do well most days except for those 2 days, I should be ok.

I lost one pound this week. Hopefully this week I kick the metabolism in gear! The clock is ticking and I have 18 more to I to accomplish this challenge! I have not been good about drinking water so that is my goal this week.

Damn, it's crazy to look at that goal weight.
Also I just want some thoughts on a problem I'm having. I'm currently plateauing hard. I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem, you lose a few pounds then all of a sudden you can't anymore. I have lost 23 pounds so far, so I'd understand if this was the first time I plateau, but I've probably done it about three times while trying to lose that. Thoughts?
