I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to get the daily food diary to factor in any sugar alcohols &/or fiber which should be subtracted when reporting "net carb" grams in a specifically "low carb" item. There's at least a column for fiber, which I can subtract in my head, but none (that I can find) for the supposedly low-glycemic index, "low-impact" carbs. Any suggestions? Thanks.
EDIT: Yikes! I now see that this topic has been posted before (sorry, I'm still figuring out the search function.) And meanwhile, I've also discovered that even if I try to correct the carb counts manually in the food's nutritional chart, there is NO option to enter sugar alcohols such as sucralose found in many "sugar free" items likely to be selected by folks (like me) who are trying to manage a low-carb lifestyle. Help, MFP!
