I have two suggestions / requests, both pertaining to the "Find Members" function.
1) Allow SMALLER distances to be entered in the "distance" field when looking for users that live in a particular distance. Finding friends who live 25 miles away may be great for some people, but I live in a VERY high population density part of the world (NYC.) I'd be happy finding a friend who lives 1 mile or 2 miles away. 3 miles even. But 5 miles? 10 miles? 15? At this point, we're talking about MILLIONS of people. That's not finding a friend, that's going page-by-page through the phone book.
2) Allow a search filter: Only those with pictures, or optionally, only those with public profiles, etc...

Sorry I don't have an answer but wanted to say that I agree. It's like a needle in a haystack! I set it to 25 miles and it's bringing up people the other side of the country!

Add me to this suggestion. 25 mile radius = 1962 sq miles. That is way too large to be the smallest option.
