That's not tooo much longer though! I'm going to try and accomplish the associates and then see how much longer my bachelors would take. I do all my homework online, so it's accelerated. I need that. I get sooo ADD about sitting in a class for long periods of time lol.

Oh gosh, I can't even imagine that! Would drive me crazy too! I can barely pay attention now haha! Especially on these days when I work overnights, then have class the next morning. Don't give 2 s***s about why we're reading about slavery and how powerful the language is, I just want to sleeeeep!

Oh I know right! I tried really hard to do my readings and homework tonight, but then I realized it was so boring. Economics and politics. Not my thing. Thankfully my boyfriend loves that stuff, so he's going to help me with it tomorrow. YAY!

Blahh!!! Holy snooze fest! I'm not sure which would be worse, though, dealing with that or James Joyce laugh

ohh come on James Joyce is awesome! I sort of want to get married on Bloomsday ;)

Quick rant to other nightshifters. I hate when problems arise in the middle of the night and you need assistance from a manager, but yet they never answer their phones/emails even when they're on call. Isn't that the point of being on call?! It's going to be a huge crisis in the morning, I'm sure. But what else can ya do!

Documentation!!!! Document that it happened, that you called a supervisor and got no answer and preferably with times. I work in a business of CYA (cover yo arse), and this is how we do it. It's sucky. It would be nice if people just did their damned jobs...but they don't.

It's just annoying how little information I have access to do my job. And I hate telling drivers that they have to wait until someone gets in. But oh well. I definitely document everything. Send lots of emails too. I'm pretty sure everyone on every other shift hates people on thirds for the amount of stuff I have to address.

My job assigns a nightly manager on duty, they don't have to be in the office but they have to answer their phone. We had a water pipe break at work and no one would answer. I ended up having to get a hold of a district manager to get some action..

That's ridiculous. If you're on call, you better be planning to not sleep!

See, that's the problem with an On Call schedule. People just don't care. It's their night off, regardless of if they are supposed to be available, alot of times they aren't. We do an On Call schedule here, just in case the opposing shift has people call in, or like, in tonight's case, we had to pull people to go do other things. It sucks, but it happens. I don't mind it, though, because I'll answer my phone and come in. I like the overtime. And I like my job. It's a pretty good one, honestly.

We have a guy at work who is in charge at night and he is a pain in the butt. He used to be really mean. I went over his head to our top administraters last year and he has done a complete turn around. Good luck with your issues from the night. Hang in there.

Hey everyone. How's everyone's night going?

I got sick pushing the pill pass cart tonight. I didn't have a chance to really eat before coming in today, plus I didn't think I would get pill pass 2 days in a row. So, I hadn't eaten, pushing this stupid cart around for 3 house.....I ended up coming and getting my peanut butter crackers and eating half of them, plus downing an entire bottle of water. So, looks like now I'm going to start trying to get up in time to eat something before coming in to work. On day shift I don't have to worry so much about it, it's the night shift that is my concern.
