I see too many of these each day!! I see one every 5 days for each of my mfp friends.

It clutters up my feed and makes it harder for me to respond to real needs, real news, real requests.

It makes it harder for me to support my friends when they post diaries and exercise, because the important stuff is squeezed down and off the page.

Yeah, it really sucks that my friends expect me to support them once every week or so for being dedicated about logging.

If you post on their wall it will send them an email (probably, that's how my settings are and I've never changed them, so I think that's the default). Also, you can go in and view your friends list and delete people that are no longer active...I tend to do that every once in a while and delete people that have been gone for a few weeks or more.

I am quite proud of it and it motivates me to see everyone else's progress. People often comment on mine, as I have quite a few days racked up. MFP won't lose this. It is too important for most people. Maybe they can have the option NOT to see that kind of update.

LOL your friends have to start somewhere. There might be a guy/girl that is very proud of their 5 days knowing that just getting started was hard. You have high expectations for the people around you and I feel sorry for anyone being motivated by you.

I do think these happen a little too often...

Maybe 7 days in a row... 30 days in a row... 60 days in a row... 90 days in a row... So forth and so forth.

I'm proud of my friends and how many days they have logged....even if it's 5 days.

Where can I find him? I wouldn't mind seeing Mr. XXX log in.

I wish it showed every 7 days. I like to think in x amount of weeks rather than every 5 days!

Agree, a little less often would be nice! Maybe every 10, or 25 even..

I don't have home internet, so I frequently miss logins over the weekend. My count is always starting over! Lol! I can still track my food, but once I sync up, that doesn't actually count as a login.

My settings are so that does not post on my friends' newsfeeds. The reason I changed my settings was because one of my friends changed hers and posted that she had...I thought, "great idea!" and did the same.

My profile states that I don't post this information and I don't comment on others because I just don't have time to post about everything!

Mine keeps saying I've logged on for 15 days in a row. Every single time.

My guess is I stay logged on to 2 computers, a laptop and my phone so it gets confuzzled.

I don't think you should feel obligated to comment on every single status update. Pick one-food diary, exercise diary, or days logging if you have that many friends to support. I try to keep my friends list small so I don't have to spend a lot of time sitting at my computer or on my phone commenting. It sort of defeats the point of being more active, doesn't it?

This is a valid point... it seems we have a conundrum here.

Same here. I don't check them often, and if I see someone who has been gone for a long time and/or has a high number of consecutive days I'll post something encouraging them to return or congratulating them on their dedication. But I don't autopost them any more because, frankly, most of my friends are very active and my inbox was filling up.

Not that I found that unpleasant or anything, I deeply appreciate the thoughtfulness and I love the fact that someone took the time to think about me - I really do! But the trickle quickly becomes an unmanageable flood.
