So, I have a lot of friends that I don't see regularly. Be it that I know them from our blogs, or that I know them from states I've lived in previously (military brat here), I talk to them online 100% of the time. And I've found that when I tell these friends that I'm losing weight, a lot of the time they say "I'm sure you don't need to!"
Uh, no. Trust me. I need to. Thanks for the attempted compliment, but you haven't seen me since I was 14! :P
And then it gets discouraging because I know they mean well, but it makes me realize how much I really DO need to. Lose weight, that is.
Anyone else dealt with something like this?

My family never say it, they're great, but any of my friends that are bigger than me try SO hard to convince me I don't need to lose weight. It can get really frustrating

My family never takes it seriously when I talk about loosing weight. The give me the whole, "your fine just the way you are" line. Or a week after I say I'm on a diet they rush to tell me I've lost weight (when I know I haven't) they mean well, but it isn't very helpful.
