Is there any way to edit the ingredients after you have added them without having to delete and re-add them??

if not, would it be hard to allow us to do that?

cheers :)

If you have one of the mobile apps such as iPhone or Android you should be able to edit the amount right in the recipe interface of the app...
Android / iPhone / iPad

Blackberry

Windows Phone - no results

For the website... yeah it needs to be editable just like our food diary is, the "functionality" already exists within the site as per editing our diary quantities..

Is there any way to share your recipes with another member so they can add the recipe to their food Journal?

Not directly, the recipe itself can't be "shared". IF you use iPhone, iPad or Android you can view a friends diary where they've logged a serving of the recipe you wish to use, click the wrench / spanner near the calories for the meal (or in the header with the meal name as in the iPad screenshot) and copy to your own diary. Then you have the nutritional info in your diary anyway.

If you don't have iPhone iPad or Android then you may find it faster / easier to create the recipe once and then create a new food to the shared database based on a serving of the recipe's nutrition. Your friends can then log that new food item from the database and have the nutrition from your recipe.

Recipe and my meal sharing is a feature that MFP has indicated they'd like to bring us but no timeline for that feature.

I would like to see a way that you can "copy" a recipe so that I can edit the copied version to account for making alterations to recipes.

For example, I like to make banana muffins, banana choc. chip muffins, and banana blueberry muffins. the recipe is the same for all three except one I add choc. chips and one I add blueberries. This way I can just add an ingredient without having to find all the ingredients 3 different times.

thx

I posted pretty much the same question earlier the same day, glad to see I can edit in the app so I'll use that from now on although it would be good to be able to do it in the website too!

Would also like to be able to search for a recipe to be able to add a portion to another recipe, eg if I'm making my own buttercream I would like to be able to search for the recipe and add a portion of that to a recipe for cupcakes!
