Hi guys,

I've been on the site for approximately a week and LOVE IT! I just thought I'd ask you all if you've ever heard of a person with issues digesting raw fruits and vegetables.

In my case I usually vomit (TMI I hope I dont make anyone sick) and with fruits I vomit and my mouth itches for a few hours. It is so irritating. I've seen a doctor about it and she referred me to a specialist. However, I never went, because I've just dealt with this all my life.

I would like to know what if anything I can do, and if there is anyone out there like me that may have advice. Thanks!

It sounds like an allergy. I would just go to the specialist. Just because you've been dealing with this so long doesn't mean you HAVE to. They may be able to treat it with antihistamines.

I agree with the others it sounds like an allergy and you really should see a doctor about it. I hope you get everything figured out.

I had the same problem. You might need to go to the doctor it could be an allergy. In my case I had small peptic ulcers developing and the raw veggies were turning into acid in my stomach because my stomach was not digesting them properly and fruits expecially citrus can do the same.

I have food allergies and about a year ago I developed the same thing with eggplant and presimans (misspelled I think). When I eat them, I too throw up and my mouth itches for 2 hours. Go to the specialist. You don't have to suffer like this. There are medicines or changes in diet the doctor can help you with but a life without fruits and veggies is not healthy.

Thank you all for your responses. I have the specialist business card in my purse, just didn't want to go. I will make an appointment because I would love to be able to eat fruits and veggies. Thanks again!
