I've been using MFP for a while and i don't remember this being an issue before, but in the last month, recipes i input on my computer are not available on my iphone app. everything else syncs fine, it's just recipes that don't, which is pretty annoying, as i use my computer for my sitting down and planning things out, and my iphone app for day-to-day logging. am i doing something wrong?

I have the Android app and it shows some of my old recipes I created by not any new ones.... it is annoying because if I want to log the recipe I have to get out my laptop... frustrating.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in responding to you. Can you let me know the name of any recipes that are not syncing? I would like to try and replicate this on our test device with your account.

Also, can you try to force close the app on your iPhone. To completely close the app, first leave the app by pressing the hardware Home button (the circle with the white square inside of it).

Then, double-click the hardware Home button. A row of application icons should appear on the bottom of the screen. Scroll through them and find MyFitnessPal, then hold your finger on the icon until the icons start to jiggle and a "-" appears. Tap on the "-" to completely close the app.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers,
Scott

Hi Scott.
The problem has been ongoing since i wrote this post, but i've been getting around it by logging some things on my computer, which is a bit of a pain but gets the job done. I had forgotten that i had posted here so have only just come back to it.
I tried forcing the app closed like you suggested, but it didn't change the issue.
I have many recipes now that have not synced to my phone, but a few examples for you to try out are 'roast kumara, capsicum and lentil soup' and 'roasted pumpkin & chick pea soup'
thanks for your response

Hi,

Thanks for the recipe names. When I logged on to your account from a test iPhone I did find those recipes.

The one thing you may want to try is using the "View All" sort option. If you go to menu, then more, then settings, there you should find a setting that says, "show favorites for all meals". If you turn this to on, then your frequent searches will show in all meal categories.

Please let me know if this still does not resolve the issue. I would be happy to investigate further.

Cheers,
Scott

Thanks Scott, I looked again and sure enough they were there.

I swear they weren't there all along though :)

No worries! If they disappear again will you let me know, either post here or shoot me a PM. I will be happy to help, just let me know the name of the missing item.

Please let me know if I can ever be of any additional assistance.
