Hello,
Love MFP but I have a request.... I'd like to be able to create a recipe and if I know the nutritional breakdown just give the recipe a name and then enter in all the nutrient information with having to enter all of the ingredients one by one. Would make like a lot easier because I eat a whole foods, plant based diet and there are a lot of ingredients! If the recipe has the nutrient breakdown I could just use it.
Thanks and keep up the great work!

Same here -- I cook from scratch and have a bunch of recipes for which I have figured the calorie count -- not so much the other nutritional components. Entering only a name and calorie count would be a great time-saver.

You could add it as a new food, and add all nutrients there. If you want to add the calories only(no nutrients) simply use the quick-add function.

Hi, I just posted a reply regarding Potassium levels...which went on the similar lines....missing nutrients on veggies/recipes in the database. Thanks.

G'Day from Australia guys,
I wanted to suggest an option for the My Recipe area.... I have been adding foods to recipes that I commonly make, however the improvement opportunities I see here is an area to input the cooking instructions, preparation & cooking time. Also a button to 'suggest recipe to friends'. This can then go as a news feed to say" Brad has added a new recipe called "Egg white omelette with toast - click here to view". This will also have another button to as the friend if they want to save the recipe too. Also, a feature to be able to import recipes from websites by typing in a hyperlink... which would pick up the closest matching ingredients and measurement sizes, cooking instructions and so on...... this would take some IT skill and time I would guess but I think it would save people a lot of time and be a great feature of the app. Hope these suggestions help and hope to see them implemented soon :-) Cheers for a fantastic app guys!
