I had this for lunch today. When I look at what what in it, there is no way there could be 894 calories in 1/2 cup. Shrimp are low in calories. There is not much you can get in 1/2 cup. Did the member mean 1/2 plate or 1/2 serving? I guesstimated what was in that 1/2 cup. 33 grams of protein? from what?

The person likely made the entry based on what they had made or were eating at the time, so made it reflect that.

If you don't think that what you ate is the same, either create your own entry for the recipe/item or piece together the meal from other entries. Like, if you had 10 shrimp and half a cup of rice, then add those things separately, and then whatever other ingredients were in it.

But maybe that person like to cook with a lot of butter and oil, every tablespoon would be 100-120 calories right there. And perhaps they had a sauce on it that you don't have on yours. So you can't assume that the entry is wrong just because it's not the same as what you're eating. I made a red beans and rice recipe recently that clocks in with lower calories, sodium, and higher protein and potassium than any of the entries on MFP. Because I made the recipe from scratch and was able to control each of those elements. But if you made a red beans and rice dish you'd likely end up with totally different info than mine. That doesn't make mine wrong, it just makes it different. :)
