I'm trying to insert a chart into a thread. When I copy and paste from excel or word (into my post), all of the cells are eliminated. how do I keep the cells intact?

I don't think you can. I believe there are limitations on the type of data that can be accepted into a thread. What you MIGHT be able to do is paste your Excel data into a word processing document, which has different format coding. Then you might be able to paste the image from that wp document page into the thread window. I am not a website or excel advance expert, but from a practical standpoint, I have learned by doing, and it would not surprise me either way if it worked or it didn't. Good luck!!

This is what I learned from accountant_boi who had inserted a chart into a thread. It's cumbersome, but it can be achieved.

1. create data table in excel
2. save as a screenshot. (for me on excel 2002, that means selecting the data, then pressing "control" + "print screen" (fn+insert). my google search also suggested "alt" + "print screen").
3. open your paint program and paste saved image. crop as necessary and save as a jpeg.
4. upload your jpeg to Photobucket. select your specific image (not the album)
5. transfer your jpeg as an image in your MFP, the way you usually insert an image.

I hope this helps.
