Do you have a Target nearby? They sell a ton of Rodney Yee's dvds.

Yeah I looked there. It was 19.99 at Target. 14.99 on Amazon. I'm cheap sometimes. laugh

Nothing wrong with that! I'm too impatient to wait for shipping sometimes. I want my workouts now! laugh

I didn't have time to do plyo this morning, but I am going to do it as soon as I get home! I need this group to keep me honest because its pretty hard to jump around for an hour at 8:30 at night without some sort of motivation. Haha.

Also, quick question for all of you HRM gurus out there - which is the best one out there considering cost, comfort, and accuracy? I've been looking to buy one for awhile now, but it's almost impossible to find a strapless one that gives reliable readings. I really prefer not to, but I'll get one with a chest strap as long as its not very uncomfortable or noticeable under my shirt.

Any suggestions? Thanks, guys. You're awesome! flowerforyou

I love my Polar F6. It does have a chest strap, and I thought it would bug me but I don't even notice it. I wear it under the 'girls' and my sports bra goes on top of it. Easy.

The strapless HRMs are not the least bit realiable. My vote is for a Polar. bigsmile

Just replyin on your new pic... LOOK AT THEM ARMS. Amazing. That's some inspiration!

Thank you!! I'm seeing some major definition! I think doing a round of Insanity and now going back to P90X was the trick to shocking my body! drinker

Chest, Shoulders, & Tri's done w/ my dh tonight. Woohoo! Feeling those pushups... I love it! heart

Couldn't agree more! Insanity has done wonders. Lifting heavy doesn't hurt either! wink

I have also been meaning to tell you your arms look awesome!

I definitely need to get some heavier weights but i have seen some great improvments and have gotten some great compliments! I was happy to report to my father in law that I am almost finished with P90X as he thought I'd quit!

Maybe I'll even try insanity before I start another round of P90X. It's fun to mix it up!

sorry i started a new thread under motivation and support not realizing this one had already been started!

i have a suunto with a chest strap and although it took me a little bit to figure out how to work it, it seems reliable and chest strap is not uncomfy or noticeable! i love being able to see how many calories i've burned and what heart rate zones I was in!

tried cardio x for the first time yesterday as I wasn't feeling chest and back. it was cool. liked the combo of all the workouts! skipped plyo today... :( I know it's not ideal but i had errands to run this morn and after i got home i was enjoying just spending time cuddling and playing with my 3 yr old! shoulders and arms tomorrow though!

do you think it'd be ok to do plyo on thurs with fri being legs and back?

Another thumbs up for the Polar F6!! Love mine, the strap is very comfortable and it is really accurate! drinker

Thank you!! Yep, heavy weights and intense cardio is a good combo for me. bigsmile I think you're ok to switch up the workouts sometimes if you need to. Just remember to do your yoga or Sandy will come after you!! laugh

It is fun to switch up the workouts! I love having such a good variety!!

I don't, but you also never have to worry about starting a new thread. Once a thread reaches 500 posts, the MFP Gods automatically lock out the old and start a new.

Just finished Plyo. I'm frustrated. But I might know the reason! Plyo was great last week. This morning it was just hard. I got tired and just didn't have a lot of energy. I was feeling tired before I did it, even though I slept in this morning. I waited about 3 hours after breakfast before doing Plyo. I figure I should've ate a snack. Argh. Will take a long walk later.

Oh and I resisted the eggnog today. I put some in my cart (the Silk kind - half the cals. and fat) and right before I checked out I put it back. I told myself I can have a glass when I finish P90X.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Back & Biceps + ARX done this morning. I had planned on sleeping in, but I just couldn't do it. My body wanted me up, and I crushed the workout! drinker

TByrd: Yeah, I'm sure a banana would have made all the difference with Plyo this morning. No worries. Lesson learned, right? wink FANTASTIC job putting that egg nog away too!!

Looking at everyone's picks makes me want to pass all of you up. Ya'll look awesome. I am in the first stages of P90X, but I have tons to shed, so hopefully one day I will look that great.

Did Shoulders & Arms + ARX at 6am this morning. One of my roommates came out to see what the noise was as Tony was doing his pterodactyl impression during the warm-up, promptly turned around, and went back to bed. laugh

Thanks for the feedback on the HRM! I did some more research online, and I saw a lot of the same thing: people loved the Polar F6, but those who later upgraded to the FT40 said it was definitely worth the extra $50. I found a FT40 for $40 + free shipping! I'm so excited to finally not have to "guesstimate" how many calories I burned.

I'm just starting too! And I feel EXACTLY the same way. Haha. Let's motivate each other! smile

I have a Polar RS300X that I just got last week and I absolutely love it. It does have a chest strap and I place it in the same place Sandy does. I hardly even know it is there. It is pretty kewl because I can get a foot pod attachment later on that will rate my distance and speed. Could not afford that at this time. Mine was $149.99. I can say that it has already paid for itself.bigsmile

Ha. Sorry. That's supposed to say $40 OFF. Because a $40 accurate HRM would be a small miracle. wink

I am a part-time P90Xer. I love the work-outs but to much for me when I have to work 10 hour night shifts. I switch it up with the 10 min trainer on my work weeks. I still do yoga, streach and ab ripper on my "off" week.

I am stronger, I just haven't dropped any weight. So now I have to be better about food, its kinda hard when you live with someone who takes in 2500-3000 calories a day.

Hi All,

I thought that I posted a comment to this thread a few days ago but don't see it.

I haven't spent a whole lot of time on these message boards - usually post to my wowy message board - but came across this the other day and was super excited to see others here that love the P90X program as well.

I am currently involved in Month 2 of the Insanity program - WOW is all you can say.
