Why does it not add calories burned when you record strength training exercises? I would think that strength training adds to your total calories burned for the day?

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/help/faq/91-doesn-t-strength-training-burn-calories-why-don-t-you-show-any-calories-burned-for-strength-training
you can get a burn by going exercise > cardio > add exercise > search "strength training"

Burned calories vary so much that i would only recommend counting them if you have a heart rate monitor (with a chest strap). Two people could do the same workout and burn a difference of 300-500 calories in an hour. There are so many factor needed to get an accurate reading. Age, Sex, Height, Weight, Average Heart Rate, Max Heart Rate, etc.
