Seriously, MFP needs to remove this ad, or make it so that when you role your cursor over it going from the tabs to the page you are viewing, that it does not expand. It seriously annoying!!!!!!!!!!!

or

make it non-expandable.

I agree!! I work at Kohl's and have to deal with that place enough everyday... I dont want to see an ad for it when I am at home!!!

Did you e-mail Mike about this? Awhile back there were ads popping up all over the place that he didn't know about. It was some type of glitch in the system. He may not know this is happening.

Where are you seeing an ad for Kohl's on this site? I haven't seen one, and I have never had an ad "expand" and cover anything up. I don't have anything unusual on my pc, just Vista and IE for browsing, so I am wondering where you are going, so I can see what happens when I access that page.

It is the top ad, just underneath the My Home, Food, Exercise tabs, I'm using mac os x and safari.

Those tabs appear above every page you view on the site, so that doesn't narrow it down much. I started at the home page and clicked on every option within every tab, and I don't get a Kohl's ad of any kind, but if I see Jillian Michaels mug one more time I will scream!!

It is possible that the ads that appear are localized, maybe by the website looking at your IP address, and certain ads go to people in certain areas. Don't know why you are seeing this and I am not. I am assuming we are both in the US, since your profile doesn't identify your locale.

did you direct email Mike or Al on this? I would, if it's actually hampering usability they need to know about it right away. this looks like a regional thing, as I have never seen this ad at all. They may not see it either, they use a 3rd party ad distribution service, so they don't actually see the ads, they just choose the category and the ad company posts them for them. At least that's how it usually goes, so he'd have to document the error, and send it to the ad company to petition to remove that ad from MFP's distribution list.

I just saw this ad for the first time tonight. I just didn't hover over it and I had no problems navigating or using the site. I'd rather the site be free thanks to the ads even if I have to pay more attention to where my mouse is going than to have to pay for the service.

I don't seem to be getting any problems with adds, pop-ups etc. Not sure if it's the virus/firewall protection this comp has or because I'm outside the US, different servers.
Must be annoying for you all.

It has to be a regional thing because I am on here everyday at least 3 or 4 times a day and STILL have never seen a Kohl's ad, much less any add that takes over my screen. I hope the original poster will email Mike and make him aware of the problem.

I've never seen a Kohl's ad on here either. Lucky I guess. However, the ads with a big juicy pepperoni pizza are kind of annoying!! Grr! Haha.

I get the ad, and it is annoying. I like the free space we have here, but we shouldn't have to deal with pop-ups to have it.
