Im just wondering why the Jillian Micheal's 30 day shred hasnt been added to the exercises yet? all MFP's use it. Unfortunately we cant log it under the 30DS it must be logged under Circuit training general. it would be nice to have an accurate calories burned for this exercise. plus its fun to share what work out we are doing.

If you want an accurate calorie burn you need to get a heart rate monitor and enter your own activities. No way can any online tool give an accurate count for all people.

That's a very general statement.. not all MFP's use it (I for one, don't). Also, calorie burn varies widely from person to person. You can add your own exercise and log it as 30DS so you can tell your friends what you are doing. Invest in a HRM so you know how many calories you burn.

Dethea, i was speaking of the friends that i have on my "friends list". i wasnt speaking about everyone using MFP. and for those of us using it, it would be nice to have it added to the exercise list.

i know that there is a way around getting more accurate numbers, or different ways to include the workout in my daily tracking. As well, im very aware that calories burned varies from one person to another... but that shouldnt excluded the information from the site. it would be nice to have the general #s of the 30 day shred included.

Apparently this is the calculation for 30DS if you don't have a HRM:

30 day shred calorie burn - 3.267 calories burnt per pound every hour. Multiply by weight to get how many calories per hour you would burn and divide by 3 to get each 20 minute work out. ~ taken from Jillian Michaels website
