Happy Tuesday team. Finally got my sorry arse to the gym today. I totally deserved the pain I was in from a minimal amount of exercise......
Pain is good sometimes-- I love the pain from using muscles I haven't been working. I did 40 minute taebo tonight-- been forever since I did this particular DVD. Youch, my friends-- the only pain that I wasn't terribly fond of was my shoulders from the arthritis-- they didn't seem to enjoy the cross punches.
Beyond that, I kicked some booty-- it was fun. I was tired going into it tonight. It was dark and cold outside, and tonight I just wimped out and wanted somebody standing over me with a whipping stick-- enter Billy Blanks-- no option to stop with this dude.
Heading to type-- pleased that my gubernatorial choice won the state of New Jersey tonight-- woo-hooo--
Later, my beloved black team--
Marla, been meaning to ask you if you take any supplements for your arthritis. I'm not sure what you take from the doctor, I wouldn't want you to take something that would cause negative effects with what you are already on.
I was having such knee achyness, arthur I'm sure, it's in the family, I'm just in denial.

Anyway, I started taking Glucosamine with Chondroiton and MSM- the other two substances are supposed to help with the absorbing the glucosamine, otherwise the studies I read said most of the glucosamine was excreted and not absorbed. My knees feel alot better... although I haven't been running.
I also read the benefits of fish oil, flaxseed oil- the EFA (Essential Fatty Acids) that our body needs and can't produce on it's own, it needs it from foods. The Omega 3-6-9 stuff (in fish and flaxseed oil) is really good for joints.
Glucosamine, fish oil and flaxseed oil have little to no side effects either. I won't take stuff that does. I research all my supplements before I will even consider putting them in my body. I don't take much, just the essential multivitamin and calcium. I also added fish oil and gulcosamine and I think I'll add flaxseed oil too.
I know supplements aren't cheap. Swansons vitamins online offers pretty good prices.
