Reflecting back to this AM. Hubs has been 'watching' too. I've been trying to help. This morning he got on the scale and was grumbling at it. Did he really think I was going to feel bad for him?

Yesterday was Nathan's birthday, he wanted London Broil, mashed potatoes and corn. Hubs ate 2nds of all of it. Then hubs ate 2 pieces of cake and ice cream. noway

Yet this morning was upset over the scale not being kind. He was barking up the wrong tree if he wanted sympathy from me, who ate NO CAKE and had NO ICE CREAM!

Aren't I supportive?

Yes, but did you come up behind *him* on the scale and bump and grind him in his sorrow?

Nope, he's been a big old grump lately, that would have been too nice! Once again, loving wife.

In his defense, he's had an abcessed tooth, but that's no excuse for taking it out on others.

Happy Tuesday team. Finally got my sorry arse to the gym today. I totally deserved the pain I was in from a minimal amount of exercise......

Pain is good sometimes-- I love the pain from using muscles I haven't been working. I did 40 minute taebo tonight-- been forever since I did this particular DVD. Youch, my friends-- the only pain that I wasn't terribly fond of was my shoulders from the arthritis-- they didn't seem to enjoy the cross punches.

Beyond that, I kicked some booty-- it was fun. I was tired going into it tonight. It was dark and cold outside, and tonight I just wimped out and wanted somebody standing over me with a whipping stick-- enter Billy Blanks-- no option to stop with this dude.

Heading to type-- pleased that my gubernatorial choice won the state of New Jersey tonight-- woo-hooo--

My work computer took a dump, so I am in the office again today. But when I am in the office, I cant fix my lap top at home....ohwell

I ate well yesterday, even though faced with junk food all day long. Why is it so hard for management to have a bowl of fruit for breakfast? Bagels and muffins were my choices.........and white bagels at that!

Lunch was good with a huge salad...........1/4 of my plate was for baked ziti......it was all I wanted.
And then I avoided the brownies and sugar cookies in the afternoon.

Funny thing is, I was the only one fully awake at 3 pm
Sugar crashes all around me laugh

One year from today, you'll look back at this moment. How you feel about it depends on the choices you make today

Move your booties today, my friends--

Marla, been meaning to ask you if you take any supplements for your arthritis. I'm not sure what you take from the doctor, I wouldn't want you to take something that would cause negative effects with what you are already on.

I was having such knee achyness, arthur I'm sure, it's in the family, I'm just in denial. ohwell Anyway, I started taking Glucosamine with Chondroiton and MSM- the other two substances are supposed to help with the absorbing the glucosamine, otherwise the studies I read said most of the glucosamine was excreted and not absorbed. My knees feel alot better... although I haven't been running.
noway

I also read the benefits of fish oil, flaxseed oil- the EFA (Essential Fatty Acids) that our body needs and can't produce on it's own, it needs it from foods. The Omega 3-6-9 stuff (in fish and flaxseed oil) is really good for joints.

Glucosamine, fish oil and flaxseed oil have little to no side effects either. I won't take stuff that does. I research all my supplements before I will even consider putting them in my body. I don't take much, just the essential multivitamin and calcium. I also added fish oil and gulcosamine and I think I'll add flaxseed oil too.

I know supplements aren't cheap. Swansons vitamins online offers pretty good prices.

You're absolutely right Marla. I loved waking up in the mornings the week of our push up challenge. My arms were feeling it big time but that's how I knew it was working. laugh Did 20 minutes of cardio (fartleking) at the gym today and it was not pretty. Felt horribly weak, lungs were screaming. What oh what did I do to myself????

Funny how we inspire one another, huh? Funny in a good way.

Just ate chicken and rice with soy sauce. Sodium fest. Also ate a little bag of cashews for my afternoon snack today. They were salty. Too salty actually, but I ate 'em anyway, the whole time thinking how darn salty they were.

I don't eat salty stuff very much anymore, sort of makes me want to push the pooch outta the way and slurp from his bowl. Also doesn't bid well for the scale the next day, I think I'll stay off since today was perfect!

LOL...I was wondering how/why you were going to the fried chicken place!! I forgot it was Wacky Wednesday and you had your free food day!

Glad you had such a wonderful day.

Tamara, I want you to know that this week has been really really....ok REALLY hard for me. Some of the worst junk has been thrown at me and I was on my way off the ledge. BUT I read everything that you post.......because you have such an upbeat, sweet, kind, POSITIVE attitude and I needed that back.

Each day, even your silly posts made me feel better and turned my frown upside down.

Thank you. You are a special womanflowerforyou (maybe all the gratitude prayers I have been sending up to heaven for you has helped the tipswink )

Especially after sodium. We know it in our heads, but our heart still contricts when we see that extra pound.

I finally was down to 134........I dont WANT to see the scale againtongue

Morning friends. Fighting the urge to shop. I would like to say my food addiction turned to shopping, but nah, I always liked to shop. I'm starting to pick up stuff for xmas so I like going out and seeing what kind of super bargains I can find. Remember, I'm a shop aholic, bargain seeking tight wad. laugh

Even after my sodium fest last night I bravely stepped on the scale this AM and was down another 2/10. I really am starting to attribute it soley to no sweets. I had tried every exercise change in the book and nothing, although I had never tried less exercise, seemed so counter productive. Cut out sweets and something. Makes me want to keep going and going and going- with no sweets that is- not losing weight!

The scale was an even 150 this AM. You know what that means, don't you? The next step is to see a 1 and a 4 side by side. Oh, I can not freaking wait!

Kati.... AHhhh! laugh Yeath, got the email. Kohls is mostly for me. I have teenagers who NEED Aeropostale and Hollister and such. Go figure. Actually after my over 3 hour trip to Kohl's I had gone back to spend my Kohl's cash and had a hard time spending it. Weird, huh? Nothing jumped out at me. I was just there again the other day because I bought 2 outfits for hubs ceremony in DC, returned the one and ended up with 2 more workout tanks. I love workout clothes so much. *Sigh* I think I need to give Kohl's a little breaky poo. As much as that kills me to say it. Plus, I'm waiting for a 30% to grab some stuff for the kids rooms from there for xmas. Daughter is buying herself a new bed and wants a new comforter.

I did get some great buys for my daughter at Aeropostale. I mean shirts for $3.99-5.99, undies, necklaces for 99 cents kind of stuff. I bought her a whole bag of stuff for $100, receipt said I saved $450. Makes me proud.

I want to hit Hollister and see if I can score any deals for the boys. And by deals I mean shirts for $10. Even the deals in that place are expensive. It kills me!

Also, I have a $20 off my next purchase at Finish Line. I feel new somethings on my tootsies. Ahh, who am I kidding? I'll probably buy one of the kids shoes, but still, I'm saving $20 on them. I get $20 off coupons all the time if I spend $100 or more, but this one is $20 on my next purchase no matter what I spend.

Good thing for me I have to drive 30 minutes to all good shopping. The only thing in town is Walmart and I am there WAY too much! I need to have time to go since it takes me a little to get there and back. I should have bolted out the door at 9:30 when I had the hankerin'! laugh

Sorry team. Kati mentioned shopping to me. See what happens.
