Angie - it does get better! You are not regressing, your body is gaining strength and endurance and it is uncomfortable. Don't worry about the speed as much as the length of time that you are keeping your heart rate up by jogging/running. Let us know how it goes today!
Falhaone - whoa! way to get back on the bandwagon! I can't imagine doing two days of running in one! For me, I need that day of rest in between for my body to recuperate. But I understand, when you get busy you have to work it in when you can. Its hard when you don't feel like it. Posting on here daily keeps me accountable. Even though I know that none of you know my running schedule, and probably wouldn't miss it if I failed to post, for me, I know that every Mon, Wed, and Fri, I need to post on here that I have done my run; otherwise, I might not do it because, in all honesty, I NEVER feel like running!!! I hate it!!
Applepie - hey, good job with W1D2! How are you feeling during the runs? I remember by the end of the first week, I was finally feeling like I could make it through all 8 intervals and I wasn't going to die! Lol! I found W2 to be easier since there were only 6 running intervals. I hate running, so the fewer running intervals - the better!
Ok, so today was W6D2 for me. I am still shocked that I have made it this far. Today's run consisted of two 10 minute running intervals with 3 minutes of walking in between. Two weeks ago, the 5 minute runs were kicking my @ss. Today, the only challenge of running 10 minutes is the boredom. Lol! So I just think about my day and what needs to be done, or whatever. The podcast is so boring with the techno music. I'm looking forward to getting out of the intervals just so I can listen to something else while running. In the 10 minutes of running, I made it 3 laps around the track, so.... I'm not sure how fast that is, but I sure ain't doing no 6mph or 10-minute-mile! I guess it's more like 13.5 minute-mile, or less than 5mph. So, Angie1215, SLOW DOWN!! Lol! I plan on working on speed AFTER I've finished this program. The first goal is to get to a point where I can run/jog for a long period of time w/out stopping. Speed will come later!
Good luck to all who have runs today! I can't wait to hear how it went!
