TOPIC: Friends' posts and the News Feed

Over the last couple weeks I've noticed that two of my friends keep disappearing and reappearing from my News Feed - I will see their posts on there, then click onto something else on the site, then click back and all of their posts have gone. I refresh the page a couple times and their posts appear again, but it keeps happening. Always the same two friends. Anybody know why this could be happening?

This happens to me all the time. It also seems to consistently be the same people that vanish from my feed. No idea why this is happening.

Bumping this so someone who can fix might respond. I've noticed this trend as well within the past couple of weeks. Sometimes if I refresh those friends will come back on my feed.

Hi,

Sorry for any issues with your friends disappearing and re-appearing. We have had a few other reports of this. If you could please use the "contact us" button at the bottom of the page we would be happy to look into what may be going on with your individual account.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers,

My apologies to you both!

I've noticed this recently (just with a couple of my friend's posts) but today it seems to have got worse and I keep losing not only their posts but some of mine.

I can sometimes get the posts back with F5 refresh and sometime switching from "All updates" to "Summary" and back again does it but other times nothing works and I need to go to their own page to see their recent activity.

For info I'm using Chrome on a PC to view the site.

I've just noticed this this morning. Multiple friends statuses are disappearing when I hit refresh, then reappearing when I refresh again.

IE on a PC.

I tried IE but results were the same. I also cleared cache in Chrome but this didn't improve the situation.

Same here, I lose friend's posts and my own (including messages from MFP like "completed her food and exercise diary for 08/01/2012 and was under her calorie goal"). sometimes they show up again later.

I use Firefox though.

Now I'm mad. This is happening to me too. I searched the forums and found this, and the advice from Scott to "Contact Us" I hit the contact button and filled out the form, per your advice. You can't send a request without a subject. The subject was not an editable field. I tried to click in the subject box to add a subject, and it erased everything I typed. It cleared the entire form. It's kinda hard to contact you if you can't send something without a subject, and you can't add a subject... Not sure what's going on with MFP - but it's getting REALLY annoying.

HI,

This issue should be resolved now. We think we identified what was causing the news feeds and friends to disappear. Are you still having the issue?

Hi,

Sorry about the subject line issue. Please always feel free to send me a private message or add me as a friend and in the event the form fails again you can get in touch with us. As I mentioned above, the issue should now be resolved.

Will you please let me know if the problem persists?

Cheers,

Just FYI, this is still happening for me grumble Hit refresh, a bunch of people's statuses disappear. Refresh a few more times, they show back up.

As of this morning I'm still experiencing the same thing. I'll even disappear off of my own feed. Sometimes refreshing will fix it but then it will go right back.
August 08, 2012 06:40
Yup, this is still broken, and it seems to be getting worse.

This is happening to me too although I haven't noticed if it is the same friends. I'll see a status update and later it'll be gone. Actually, this morning I disappeared from my own news feed. One minute I was there, refresh, now I'm gone, refresh, refresh, refresh and now I'm back. Weird.

This has been happening to me as well recently - including this morning. Refreshing doesn't always work and and much like pounds on a scale, things seems to disappear and reappear at random times.

I have been having the same problem for a couple of weeks and I could have written the same post as the first one that commented. It's not just a couple of friends though, it's everyone~! I don't even enjoy getting on the site as much...:-(

Hopefully things will get back to normal sooooon....!!

Hey Folks,

Sorry for the delay, the issue should be resolved now. If you continue to see friend's news feed post disappearing please send me a PM.

Hopefully this will all be behind us now!

Thanks for you patience.
