Its a shame that so many of our women are willing to be put into a "genre." I can barely believe the amount of replies to this thread. There should BE no separate thread for black women. It should simply be women. I find it offensive that this thread was created, and even more offended at the participation level.

Ugh.frown

There's a default for every situation- the default for sexuality is straight, the default for religion in the US is christian, the default for "head of household" is male, matter of fact, the default for the f-ing human race is male. The default for acceptable body type for women is thin, blonde and blue eyed - so when a special interest group wants to establish themselves and broaden people's minds beyond "defaults", this is how they do it.

Your offense is noted and thanks for your *participation*.

Very appreciative! The sad thing is nobody said anything negative about other races so what is the fuss about?

There is nothing racist about this.
I'm glad there are threads with progress pics that suit my body type: Black, tall, big boobs, large frame. NOW, I don't have to weed through threads to find someone that had similar specs. ;-)

Carry on ladies. You look great!

Thank you for making this thread. I am always inspired to see everyone's results. But it's great to see how black woman, who started w/ a body type similar to mine, were able to accomplish such a goal. I can pic myself and possibly how my body would look once I achieve my goal ( by mar '14). Thank you , thank you, thank you. And if there were a thread for men or women of a different ethinicity, I'd support it too. That's what we are here to do. Support eachother throughout this journey. wink

Dear Posters,

I wanted to offer a brief explanation for the locking of this thread.

The forum guidelines include this item:

15. Divisive Topics Are Better Suited For Groups, Not the Main Forums

Divisive topics, particularly those that seek input from or are relevant only to a select group of users, are better placed within an appropriate Group rather than the Main Forums. For example, topics relevant to only one religion should not be placed on the main forums but rather within a group related to that religion. We reserve the right to move any topic to a relevant public Group which interested members may join if they wish to continue to participate.
