Happy Fartlek Wednesday.

* Had a microwaved scrambled egg for breakfast with blackberry preserves on 2 Arnold Sandwich Thins. Yum!

* Have kept my hand out of the candy dish that is sitting on my counter at work. Let the young, energetic students eat it. Keeps it off my hips. laugh

* Logged my breakfast and logged my lunch already.

* Heading to the gym to fartlek today.

Great job Kati!!flowerforyou

Yippee! 3 days into the work week and I have not touched the candy jar at work once! It's so hard because I have a huge sweet tooth. And when I grab something sweet, I can't have just a little bit :o

I was going to through mine with the printer out onto the road one daygrumble they seem to have a mind of their own.laugh I'm glad that you found a way to control the stress. For me I know that when I'm getting daily exercise and eating good my stress level is down. Not to say I don't get stressed, I get way stressed. But it's not as bad as when I'm eating junk and not exercising.

Kelly, I think the sugar I was eating due to candy around the house, was playing into the physical reaction I was getting to the stress. When I eat well, sleep, drink my water and exercise, I can at least handle it. It is amazing the difference before and after.

What I love about my life today, is I am aware of these things. When Marla put up the sweets challenge.....little did she know she was helping me in such a profound way.

THAT my friends is what MFP is to me...........and more specifically the Proud and Black team threads.

heart Thank you all from the bottom of my (slightly constricted due to stress) heartheart

The sweets challenge helped me break my plateau! Isn't Marla the bomb? Since 9 kids and a busy house aren't enough, she's taking care of us too.

flowerforyou Marla!

Glad you ladies are handling stress. It can rear it's ugly head in bad, bad ways.

No work last night, bad news financially-- good news in that I was then able to watch the Yankees win with Faith. We have no cable, but found a feed online and watched it at my desk-- good stuff.

* Proud to say that I ignored sweets all day yesterday! Several times once I got home I opened the cupboard to find the peanutty snacks that Tenley cannot have and each time I shut the cupboard door without grabbing a single one.

* Thought that I had a good eating day yesterday. Just logged my dinner though and I was well under my calories. Oops. Will do better today.

* Proud of sticking to my guns last night with the little ones. It was TOUGH but they've tested and tested and tested and I'm not very good at sticking to the consequences and last night we did not give in. cry I pray they've learned their lesson and that we can have an enjoyable evening tonight.

* Proud of plugging away at work this morning. I have got to get caught up.

* Proud of Tenley for pushing me to donate blood in their blood drive coming up. She has such a big heart. heart

* Proud of my Proud friends, new friends, old friends, the inspiration, encouragement and faith runs deep here!

Have completely cut out gluten and I feel AMAZING! I feel like a whole new person. My doctor and I are both pretty sure I have Celiac's and I am awaiting the results of the antibody test they did earlier in the week. At this point, as crazy as it's going to sound, I hope I have Celiac's- not because I really want it, but because I just finally want to have an answer and know exactly what was causing me to be so sick, and how to avoid it! My appetite has decreased significantly since I've cut out the gluten, and I'm starting to feel *normal* again.. it feels awesome! bigsmile
Finished Couch to 5K 8.28.09

GOALS:
148 by Nov. 25th (my 25th birthday!), 143 by Christmas, 135 *goal weight* by Feb. 22nd (our 3 yr. anniversary!)

Kel I think you are my hero today. I cant imagine life with no bread or pasta........and I would drop 20 pounds ....snap....if I stopped eating it.

I am so glad you feel better now that it is out of your system. I was actually terrified when I went to the allergist that he was going to tell me I had to go gluten free.

Man it is so hard to be a parent. I promise, you will be sorrier for the times you were soft, than those you were tough Kati. I wish I had stuck to my guns more often.
